A lovely set of triplets. And very nice writing and inks to go with them!

The complexity of this pearl grey is hard for this inadequate photographer to capture but the celluloid is simply lovely. This particular Icons set is only available in the pearl grey and it's probably among the last colour group I would have selected yet I couldn't be more pleased with it.

Has this happened to any of you ? Have you ever purchased a pen not because of its color but in spite of it -- and then been really pleased with the outcome ?

Today I have again a partner drawing to show.

You remember Rafael from the movie Rio?

I did it together with my 6 year old son.

I drew the outlines with a Pentel Pocket Brush pen.

Afterwards we colorated it using different techniques.

He choosen to colorate it dry using his colored pencils.

I´ve decided to colorate it wet with aquarell pencils.

The young artist also choosen a pseudonym. :)

Since last fall he attends first grade school and signed his artwork by himself (he do not know all letters but he learns fast). :)

Btw. he loves school, and already have his own fountain pen :) .... He is not allowed to use it in school, but he use it at home often (just like his dad ;) ).

To be honest I´m very proud of him.

I have a bottle of this ink, and it has never looked as good as when you write with it. Must be the special combination of pen, paper, and writer... :)

After having to face the circus that is our current political campaign in the US, I happened upon an amusing commentary in Dutch on the Germanic sayings concerning the Devil and where he... um... helps out. The Dutch and German speakers will be amused... ;)

You've got every reason to be proud of your boy. He knows his colors!

Loved your version, too.

It was you! Your samples made me order a 2.4mm Parallel pen. Next week I'll try to tame it.

Great shots!

Looking at the Lamy 2000, who could imagine it's capable of such a grotesque writing. You make 'em sing, literally!

Practice, patience, perseverance
