Finally got one of these cute little Epenco Merlins. So naturally I put a Waterman nib in it and filled it with Diamine Night Sky.

wow this one is amazing man... lovely... sadly its not available in India

Thanks, Vaibhav! One of my favourite pens. I have a bias towards hooded/inlaid-nib pens. More comfortable to hold and write with.

J pens are for business, the Jackson Stub is for fun.

These Watermans you've been showing us are just simply stunning.

Did you get them as they are or did they require restoration?

I am finally loving the nib on my Waterman #94 Olive Ripple. At first it wasn't what I had hoped for, but now I'm getting the feel of what it wants to do, rather than what I want it to do. It was trying to tell me, but I wasn't listening.

I'm writing a letter to a Spanish pen pal, using Sailor's Cigar ink.

Well done Andrew, sometimes less is more :)

Very good, Halloween, Inkidu

Really good Inky, a single stroke drawing is impressive.

This reminds me when I was a child we tried to draw houses or laterns with one stroke ;)

Inkluminati, you are a true master of the classic bird. ;)

Cool Pen

EOC, this wooden bird thing......... whatever it is look pretty cool.

Please enlighten me and explain what it is.

Ian, this is a funny one, well done, I really like it.

Ptero,

EOC, this wooden bird thing......... whatever it is look pretty cool.

Please enlighten me and explain what it is.

The wooden bird thing is called variously a fetish, a bird, a stop piece, a totem or a block. It is an essential part of a Native American Flute that helps to direct the passage of air through the two chambers of the flute. The picture is of the flute that EoC owns and plays. It is a Red Hawk made by Odell Borg of High Spirits Flutes in the US.

As with skill in penmanship, photography and much else, EoC brings very little or no discernible talent to the playing of this instrument, alas. Fun though!

Ian

They all required varying degrees of work.

That's a very interesting colour, both ink and pen. EoC has never seen a Pelikan in person. Probably never will.
