No my friend, no prejudices at all !!

Keep them coming. Art is art is art however it's made - although I could use just one hand to count up what I really liked today at London's Tate Modern. I must be getting old. :(

I have Paper 53 on my kid's iPad and ADORE it. Sooo much fun and so simple to use, especially with a pen.

:)

Thanks for the quick response.

We all getting old really fast, time is like sand between our fingers, each year it flows faster.

And each year it's getting clearer how incredible short life is.....

I also loaded Paper 53 (together with a bunch of other Apps) but did not tried it yet.

It's been a long time since we saw some drawings from you.

I would really like to see something new from you. :)

@EOC

Sometimes I don´t understand your posts.

You have really really nice pens, your penmanship is also good, but you always write something like above.

Some old pen with Herbin Tea ink, and zero skills in the use of either.

Wait a cotton pickin' minute, KaB - would that be the Vac700 and Tsuki-yo of the "Most boring" thread? You can't do that!!!! (But you're right, it looks super.)

And as ever, I find everyone's entries so lovely that I end up drooling and never posting...

It's that same vac indeed. So this will slow down the boring thread, I know. But it was never a race in the first place. And seeing the winter glow in the Vista, I couldn't resist the temptation of enjoying it in the VAC.

So much justification means I do feel a little guilt. But looking at the VAC sitting next to me, I feel far more joy ;)

Thank you Ptero!

Like you, I was fascinated with Attika's tests - but seeing the others' experience, decided to stay away from shimmering inks. Maybe some day I'll buy a Pilot Parallel set and give these inks a try.

And - great helmet, bravo! Keep up the good work ;)

EoC apologises for asking a question without posting a sample, but could some of the more experienced members explain how best to take photographs of writing please?

Thank you.

Edit: for what it may be worth...

First of all, I like this big fat nibble sample.

And second, I believe that a tripod, dispersed natural lighting, moderately closed diaphragm and extension tubes for close-ups can help to get some decent writing shots. Have no tripod at the moment, and don't use the advantages of our sunny mornings (too lazy to carry the stuff outdoors) - so here are two photographs taken at the office, hand-held, regular luminescent lighting, white balance corrected while processing:

same lens at f/4.0, 10mm Pixco extension tube

The pen is Italix Parson's Essential, inked with Diamine Maroon

Wow Eli, those are very flattering photos of the Parson's Essential! Nice work :)

:) It's warmed my day to see your handwriting again Fountainpagan :)

I also really like the look of the Waterman and Guider. One day I'll try out a Japanese UEF to find out if I really would like one. I tend to love EF nibs, the finer the better, but I also wonder if there's such a thing as too fine a pen.

Which inks are these?

My photos also tend to get dark and boring, but one think that I learned (too) recently, was that cameras are way too particular when it comes to light. I would have thought that more than a century of human ingenuity would have surpassed hundreds of millions of years of our dear old Mother's evolution, but nooo… :)

Daylight is your friend, EoC, and since you live in the Underworld at this time of year, that should not be as big of an issue as up here. With plenty of those precious rays, even a lousy iPhone 4 camera can make good stuff.

"We are one."

Ptreodactylus .. WOW That green of envy....Wow

Yes. You are right. What the hearts wants, there's no way stopping it from trying. Seeing EoC having a different views of life, sometimes can be enlightening to us. As they say, there is no dark in light, and light in dark. It doesn't exist, but in light casting shadows, and in darkness we see light.
