Also, good to see that Moss Green is so nice a green - I bought some cartridges of it for pocket change in Germany, will use it on my next pen (probably a measly Jinhao X450 :( )

Beautiful pen!

So, so beautiful!

Occ. Lobe - that Idyll is just lovely, a real cracker.

Thanks for the comments all.

It really is a beautiful pen, and is constantly inked - almost exclusively with a brown ink of some sort.

Seasons greetings to everyone

Doing some quick journaling whilst the others are still asleep.

My Pilot Custom 74 music (Diamine Red Dragon) and Pilot Cocoon (Metro) calligraphic nib (Iroshizuku Ku-Jaku) for a little heading for the page.

No, all the retailers I dealt with sell Kaweco pens with "regular" nibs (this one was originally fitted with a gold-plated Medium). But you can always order a calligraphic nib, in this particular case - in a matching section.

Here are some new members of my collection -- Caran D'Ache Ivanhoe. I must admit that, initially, I did not like the "coat of mail" and, thus, had not considered buying any Ivanhoe writing instruments for quite a while. But, I began looking at the Ivanhoe writing instruments on eBay and could not help but fall in love with the style. So, now, I own Caran D'Ache Ivanhoe writing instruments.

I enjoy the solid feel as well as the weight. They have nice balance, and the solid feel and weight are great for extended writing periods, especially grading papers.

I purchased the second series (pictured) but not the first series as I did not like the engraving on the pen clip or the Caran D'Ache symbol above the pen clip. The Caran D'Ache markings on the pen clip and the Caran D'Ache symbol above the pen clip marred the pen for me; I suppose that this is due to my not liking engravings and heavy markings on pens. Recently, I purchased a ballpoint pen and a pencil of the third series with the new pen clip. I like both the second series and the third series but I do not like the first series.

I am still concerned about getting dirt in the "coat of mail". So, I will have to be very careful of what I have around me when I am using my Ivanhoe pens and pencils. But, for now, I will focus on enjoying them.

Great design, really timeless! They say CD'A fountain pens are excellent writers. Enjoy this gorgeous threesome - and thanks for sharing.

In the meanwhile, a kind of "vintage flex vs vintage semi-flex" test, featuring Waterman 52V and Sheaffer Balance Junior:

The pen in use is Guider Capsule and is made of translucent brown acrylic which is polished to a high finish.

The finish is absolutely beautiful and material is translucent. It is an eyedropper pen and is fitted with Kanwrite Broad nib. Currently, the pen is inked with Sulekha Royal Blue Ink.

Forgot to post this yesterday, but I'm using the same pens today (although I cleaned out the TWSBI and changed the ink after taking this photo, now it flows perfectly)

A new eBay purchase for me today. A super bold-nibbed Sheaffer 444XG, which came with an original document that suggests it was first sold on my 3rd birthday. So I took this to mean I *had* to have this pen, so possibly paid more than I should have done, especially considering I am broke after Christmas and really don't need another pen (does this all sound a little familiar, anybody?).
