OMG, these are awesome pens! I love the cap band on the Mabie Todd, and I am surprised how nice and fine the M1000 nib is. I haven't had as much luck with mine.

 

Today, I am writing with a Parker Vacumatic. A few weeks ago, an FPN member pointed me to a huge collection of downloadable old penmanship books, where I found an bottomless well of proverbs, sayings, and motivational phrases. I love them! Forever grateful to my FPN friend for that.

Haven't posted on this great thread in awhile....but I'm using my cranky old Wearever Deluxe 100 again. I have two of them and every time I consider selling one, and give it a fill to see, it works so well I keep it. Over the years, this one has had a cracked section and barrel, both of which I fixed. Maybe I'll let the other one go when I stop its leak. They're like my old apartment, same age, in fact. Always something going wrong but too nice to drop. Life could be worse.

 

I find it interesting that of all the pens I restore and either return or sell, my own collection is far less glamorous.

Today the Pilot Custom Heritage 92 (fine) is earning its keep as my current workhorse. It's inked up with Sailor Souten, the blue I'm currently smitten with. I'm slightly worried about staining, but not enough to really stop me from enjoying watching the ink sloshing around inside the pen. It's a pen, it was meant to be used, right? That's what I'll keep telling myself :P

 

Please excuse the scrawl, it's just class prep notes and brainstorming.

That ink is impossible to find Kingdom Note Mandarin Duck. I really like Kobe Brick which is a red brown, or the KWZI browns.

It's also ungooglable apparently because I googled mandarin duck ink before I asked and found nothing. Thanks for the other recommendations, I'll look into them.

I haven't scanned or uploaded the most recent, but I'm now finished with ink 333. I can see the train at the end of the tunnel!

Using my Pilot Custom Heritage 92 but really messing around with my Lamy Safari and Pilot Cocoon (Metro). Really excited for Rogue One coming out today.
