Lamy 2000 ... It comes with BB nib...

I am using it with GvFC Hazelnut Brown Ink.

.fpn_1479723190__15123055_101538863527923

That is just lovely.

It might be time for to get some orange ink, that fits the season really well. The composition of the photos are really good, too!

Today is nothing special. Just my standby, a Lamy Safari with a fine nib and Pilot Blue-Black. It's my "work" pen, and is especially nice today as the heaters in the office aren't on yet and I'm still wearing gloves at my desk.

Thank you!

Treat yourself to some lively orange. If you tend to use finer nibs, try Diamine / Cult Pens Deep Dark Orange - great autumn colour. In terms of shading, I still have to see something better than Kaweco Sunrise. Btw, shading: you caught it at its best in your Lamy/Pilot sample.

Skullland? Or just Skulland? Or Skull Land maybe? Great, anyway.

Clicked on the link. Love your sketch. You certainly know what to do with your Posting nib ;)

In the meanwhile, another ink sample. This is Diamine Oxford which is quite en vogue this season. I bought it by mistake (don't ask me how; I wanted to order Diamine Umber, and...). So, if it's here already, why not give it a test run? OK, we'll take an old English pen, as good as new. Perfect for filling with a fluid called Oxford.

Ready, steady, go:

Nice colour, well saturated, but nothing special.

Let's try it on a "nicer" kind of paper:

http://c6.staticflickr.com/6/5805/31043998405_5672b9b765_c.jpg

The ubiquitous Rhodia DotPad. Still nothing special.

But if you take a closer look, there's some reddish sheen:

That's all, folks.

Worthy of the hype? No. Worthy of its two-quid price tag? Sure.

Probably I have too much blue inks...

I'm sure I will.

Try Kaweco cartridges first - very affordable and widely available. Their bottled ink is sadly overpriced - I believe it's the main reason for its "under the radar" status.

Great shots of your Deccan (see my comment in "What Ink..." thread).

And now to something completely different:

Normally I would avoid a white pen, however this is why you never say never...

Thank you! Your Gothic is more and more interesting. Are you sure you're not a time traveller?

Nice color scheme for a long cold winter.

Thanks. I'm still coming to grips with italic nibs, but I'm just having too much fun to stop. I do prefer finer nibs when just writing normally so I'll try to see if I can get some orange ink when I next make a purchase. The pen/ink budget has been used up for a bit.

I can believe it! It's not the fanciest pen, but it's quite durable. I like that I don't have to worry about it in class since I can't really pay a lot of attention to my pens. For the most part I can write on any paper my school uses (those some of the really cheap copy paper we use for handouts can be a challenge).

Earlier this morning, I was writing with a Sheaffer Craftsman with a fantastic Feather Touch nib. I know some of you like those nibs (eliweisz, you do, don't you?), and I absolutely love them. Perhaps the most underrated vintage pen. I prefer it to the more expensive Lifetime models.

The phrase I wrote comes from an old penmanship book. These little pearls of wisdom are cute, and they seem to go nicely with the pens of the same era.
