Nice! what ink did you use? I'm guessing you've got a TWSBI there?

Ah, knitting, another favorite pass-time of mine!

Ink, a drug.

Wow... I really like that drawing... I hope I can draw like that someday (although I should probably start practicing if I ever want to reach that goal)...

Here you go...

SBRE Brown ink, Twsbi 580Al w. Visconti Fine (steel) nib

Great! It's better to get drunk at the party than to stay sober on some distant planet...

Jolly robot, impressive Italic.

Unfortunately no robots. But I did get a chance to try out my new Esterbrook 9048 nib. It's the closest you can get to anything flexible on an Esterbrook renew-point nib. It's got a tiny bit of flex. but it's very smooth! I lucked on to it when I snatched up a fuzzy-pictured "collector's ink pen" on ebay for $3.99 and free shipping. Turned out to be a nice little blue SJ (needs a new sac and some cleaning, but no cracks or big scratches), with a wonderful nib. My find of the year, so far.

Brilliant!

A couple of pens today. A Sheaffer Balance with Diamine Beau Blue ink; a Waterman #52 Wood Grain with Caran d'Ache Infra Red ink; and the mighty Sheaffer Legacy II with de Atramentis Myrrh ink.

Another story in Dutch for those who want to see such things... ;) But you must listen to Richard Strauss's "Till Eulenspiegels lustige Streiche" when you read it! It's a mystic experience!

Hi everyone, happy new year (belatedly)! :)

I had a nice long summer break and have finally got the kids off to school (today is my youngest son's first full day at school with lunch box and morning tea packed), and life is back to normal again. I haven't caught up on the thread yet, but I will go back and read the new posts for 2016 shortly. I look forward to seeing all your lovely pens and handwriting!

These are two pens I am using at the moment.

Nice pen

Is it more than 20 years old?

Thanks, da vinci!

I bought it last year, and it is still available here.

It's been a while, so here's some more metal lyrics...

One of my current favorite songs: Svältorna by Grift, from the 2015 album Syner. This album reached the 24th spot in the top 50 best metal albums of 2015 and one of the articles about it was the source of a quote about this song that kind of stuck: "what starts as a ponderous mid-tempo groove turns into a sorrowful foundation for howls of loneliness and grief. (We really do operate in a funny milieu when what I just wrote actually qualifies as praise.)".

The lyrics are in Swedish, and my knowledge of the Swedish language is mostly limited to stuff for sale at Ikea. So I can't do a translation, but with my limited knowledge of Swedish, I think it paints a pretty bleak picture...
