I was working on my novel today, and while I have no illusions of completing 50k words by hand this month for NaNoWriMo, I did complete a few chapters. Today's inspiration came from the power of yellow as I decided to use and/or ink up a few of my yellow pens and just write.

A beautiful collection! And fantastic handwriting, too!

Tas: That is some nice detailwork.

What a lovely collection of yellow pens.

Thank you.

I'm loving everything about the "yellow" post.

(not that I think I could ever use a yellow pen  )

Earlier this morning, I was writing with a wartime Sheaffer Triumph. I can never get enough of these pens. The writing experience is so uniquely awesome. The quote comes from an old penmanship book.

Great penmanship!

Next time you'll have a carmine Triumph for sale - just PM me. For now, please put me on your waiting list.

Makes me think of a Mandarine Duofold ;) Fantastic collection, and very expressive handwriting.

A serious work of art!

And my two cents:

Lately I've been enjoying the versatility and flexibility of these amazing adjustable nibs.

What does it adjust? The flexibility?

Yes, and quite effectively. The best can go from nail to wet noodle with a flick of the slider.

Here's a test I did comparing a few W-E Dorics with variously sized adjustable nibs to a modern interpretation of the variable nib concept (The Pilot Justus 95). Spoiler: The modern pen loses.

Noihvo, that's a lovely looking pen.

My pen today, one from a Parker calligraphy set, marked X (possibly about a 1.9?)

A great pen, and even better penmanship!

Not the best handwriting in this forum :( , just sharing my pen that I carry today :)

Fantastic daily carry. And, your handwriting is very nice and versatile.

Sheaffer made fantastic pens across their entire catalog. Even the entry-level Craftsman was a great pen. And what a writer! The quote comes from an old penmanship book.

Helen,

This is a beautiful pen! I love the shades of red and black accents. The section looks comfortable, and the nib lays down a gorgeous, wet line. I am really impressed.

Not only beautiful - it's a great writer, well balanced and comfortable. I've got mine a day or two before Helen, some pictures will follow soon.

Regarding the Craftsman: I've got one in Burgundy, and its humble little nib is fantastic. Sheaffer is love ;)

Still enjoying Lamy Dark Lilac in my Lamy Safari (does that make it Lamy squared?) Managed find cartridges when visiting family in the US a couple of months ago and was resigned to only having that but took an unexpected trip into Tokyo (well the trip wasn't unexpected, but having extra time was) and found a bottle at the Nihonbashi branch of Maruzen in Tokyo.

The Safari is actually my first italic (also picked up a Pilot Prera CM a week later)... so still working on the handwriting

A nice pair! And once again - your handwriting is quite expressive ;)

Now, something new - a Rotring ArtPen inked with the marvelous Kaweco Sunrise Orange.

Thank you, most appreciated, I'm rather partial to the Iroko Seawood. Imagine a novel written by hand in that writing prior to it ever seeing a word processor. That is the number one reason I change out pens periodically. It helps in some ways to cut hand fatigue after long stretches. I am kind of drooling over a Conid though...
