A Frankenpelikan? And this flex... Oh boy... You're a wizard.

Now to your question.

Balance-wise, the "Mighty Roo" is just fine with me. I use it unposted and can't call it top-heavy. Yes, the 316 is often criticized for its solid brass finial, but in my hand, it's absolutely comfortable, and I can write with it for hours.

Great penmanship! And this Prescriptor pen is a stunner.

Thanks Eli

The Prescriptor is a brilliant pen, it has it all, and the big nib is just sublime.

If I can discount my Thomas Earnshaw Regency (sentimental reasons have it at the top) then the Churchmans is my favourite of all my pens.

Always glad to help :) Thanks for your kind words. And - a stunning Duofold!

Going into fashion? Not so sure about the global trends, but at my personal desk, Italic is the champ.

I'm deeply impressed by your samples. Thinking of a Sheaffer factory stub lately...

Thank you!

That's the point! Thanks a lot :)

Happy Fountain Pen Day, everyone!

Never mind the date ;)

Brilliant work! I love how each pen is unique both in its design/appearance and its writing character. And, of course, your skilled hand is able to bring all of that out, effortlessly. Wow!

Brilliant Spencerian penmanship! And, once again, a superb pen / nib pairing.

Beautifully done! Your handwriting is fantastic, and the pen-ink pairing awesome. The Red Dragon does pop, doesn't it?

The first Parker Vacumatic I ever saw was a Golden Pearl Major. It was in the hands of a wise, experienced collector, who said "Quite honestly, one of the best pens ever made." I believed him, yes. I appreciated the pen's beauty. Yes. However, I could not be persuaded that a sixty-five-year-old pen could write better than a modern pen, and I proceeded to buy a new Parker Frontier. I liked the Frontier, but when I got my first professionally restored Vacumatic, my jaw dropped. This did seem like the pen the wise collector had described to me before.

Thanks Eli. It is super top heavy for my tiny hands. I almost never post with my pens. Hence, brass is no no.

It's a pity. I can only imagine the wonders you could perform with the Mighty Roo if it wasn't so heavy.

But what do I see here?

A Frankenblanc? Or probably a Montstein? Great writing sample, anyway.

Not so effortlessly, sometimes it's rather painful, but always a lot of fun. Thank you!

And the Vac is definitely one of the best pens ever made.

Thanks very much. The Red Dragon really does pop. Helps my comments stand out on the page.

Looked for the Regency in the web. A noble pen. Superficially, it has something in common with the Prescriptor.

I like your handwriting. And your choice of inks.

This pen and Gothic script were created for each other. They needed you to unite them ;)

Still trying to find a fine italic nib in an affordable everyday pen. This one is a bit of a horror really, possibly the ugliest pen I have. But I like the nib.

;) IIRC, you can swap nibs between this one and the Metropolitan. Nice picture, btw.
