Happy Birthday, Noihvo!

If anyone hasn't tried nibs from this supplier... well, I am a satisfied customer - although their fude nib wasn't quite what I expected, their italic exceeded expectations.

EOC, This is fantastic stuff! I love the ink color. Your italic handwriting looks better and better every time you post.

Today, I am writing with a Sheaffer Valiant, a fantastic XF writer.

New diary for 2017! Going to try and combine my bullet journal with my conventional diary, so bought a HUGE diary. Paperblanks Ultra matched with Sheaffer Triumph, Diamine Asa Blue, and a large gin and tonic.

Thanks Mehandiratta, I love that 69T you use, and you have such elegant writing.

EoC - gorgeous ink.

Not a pen for me today, but one for my daughter...

This puts a huge smile on my face! My son (he's 12 now) also loves his fountain pens. His favorite is the Baoer Eight Horses Pen.

The other day, I was writing with a really awesome needlepoint, the Sheaffer "Fat" Touchdown. An ultra thin line but without the "tooth" of conventional needlepoints.

Thank you!

Your latest response is impressive more than ever. You know your pens (and inks).

What a beauty! and what a find! Good job on grinding it down to your preference too. I am too chicken to manipulate nibs. (maybe that didn't come out quite right). But do we get to see the sketch in the background? Please?

Thanks Eli! The books by Julia Donaldson (and the illustrator Axel Scheffler) are favourites in our household, almost as loved as Dr Seuss books! My faves are Gruffalo and Room on the Broom, and of course The Snail and the Whale.

Whale, Tale, Snail, Tail... :lticaptd: It's so good to see you feeling better and posting lots again, Amberlea.

I am glad you are not washing away those pretty doodles you do so well.

I checked out the RO inks but they are not sold on eBay any longer, and has this distributor in Australia that I have never heard of so I am still thinking if I should acquire more inks. (It's not like I need any more inks in the next 10 lifetimes!) But I know I will eventually get them. ;)

Yes I missed the opportunity, it happened just after I got another big "want" pen so I felt guilty pressing that Buy It Now button and didn't. 13oz is like 255g if I am not mistaken (maybe I am mistaken), isn't it? That's a mighty weighty pen! Could you please do another experiment for me? Where is the centre of gravity at (unposted), when you try to balance the pen on your extended finger like a see-saw? I think I can handle a heavy pen but I can't handle a back heavy pen. I would be keen to know the balance in your hand. Thanks!

Okay, unposted on the barley corn (sterling) the nib to end is 5 inches. CG is at 3 inches from the nib towards the end or 2 inches from the end.

On the fantasy which is has the same nib and cap but an acrylic body, the length is about 4.75" and the CG is right at 2.5".
