Inspired by Andrew's excellent ink choice, I did another installment in my copying out Dutch texts, for fun and amusement.

Pen: Waterman #3, Steel Quartz

Ink: de Atramentis Copper Brown

Good looking nib there!

If you mean the Pilot's, its even more a beauty to write with than it is to behold, IMO.

Well music nib is amazing.. I always thought that stub nibs left me with something more to be desired and answer was music nib.. More line variation.. And more wetness..

And thank you for the compliment

Really? Thanks a lot for the info! I'll have to try out one soon then!

I finally finished my Midori MD notebook! :D I have a Life Noble Note lined up for use next, which I've been really looking forward to, so I'm glad to have gotten the Midori out of the way. :P

I used Emerald of Chivor in a Pilot Prera for the last page. My Italic is still very much a work in progress, not least because I still haven't learnt the majuscules and consistency still eludes me.

Candid: Your italic is good enough that it's only a "work in progress" in the sense that we're all still learning. It looks pretty amazing to me. What pen do you use to make the capitals? (I really like the flourished "B" in the middle of the page)

Thank you for the kind words. :) But when I look at it, I see all the inconsistencies. There was an example of Alfred Fairbank's italic writing in another thread, and it was amazingly even and regular (but of course, he is a master). :notworthy1:

I used a dip pen for the capitals, just a normal Nikko G nib. (I learnt that "B" from Instagram. :P) Though I actually write the capitals in pencil first (so I get multiple gos if something looks wonky :P), because I do the italic first and need to know how much space to leave. The gold ink settles quickly so I found it a bit too troublesome to write the capitals as I came to them in the text. I suppose it's cheating, but since it's just my personal notebook I'm not too fussed. :D

The inconsistencies tell us that the words were written by a human hand, and have far greater value and interest because of this. EoC is much attracted to such a hand, and would prefer to read this than a perfectly executed script.

Christmas my wife gifted me a new toy.

A Apple-Pencil, its really hard to get but it arrived a couple of days ago.

TeaHive has a great thread with sketches.

Especially the one below was very appealing for me.

Day 17 of The Year of the Doodle.

So I decided to try to colorate her sketch and create my first digital drawing ever.

@TeaHive

I hopy you don´t mind that I colorated one of your sketches.

My first impression is, that I love the Apple Pencil, it is a great drawing device.

Procreate is an awesome drawing app.

This is my first digital drawing, but it will be for sure not my last one (but I have to learn a lot again).

Candide, what a gorgeous writing example. I hope someday to have such fine skills!

yay! More Ptero sketches and this time it's a collaboration with teahive! I love it! How have you liked the iPad pro! I'm thinking of switching at the next version...

Fountain pen wise I am having loads of fun with the Sailor and using Diamine shimmering inks in the Lamy vista 1.5 at work, for titles or underlining in my personal notes.
