With apologies to Eli for the atrociousness of the following... (edit: it just occurred to me that I may have this in the wrong order? Double apologies if so)

I'm a little better with English (not a translation of course).

How odd, we have the same pen (same maker & finish) and yet mine doesn't write like yours. I suppose it is the different nib?

Your printing is MOST enviable. I am always pleased to see a page of print that is as attractive as ANY cursive. AND thanks for my "peek" @ Hebrew.

You have it right, EoC! Maybe the most important quote of all. Is it your Duofold?

First of all, thank you!

Second of all, from the vast arsenal of Mr. Ford's nibs I opted for probably the most tricky Medium Italic Oblique. I definitely like the pen - great looks and classy finish, but have a love/hate relationship with the nib. Frankly, don't see much use for it. Probably I'll order a section with some other size (for the price of two Kaweco Sports, shipping included).

Huge admiration for this, not the pen or the ink but the concept of managing two writing formats.

I had a meeting last week in connection with the Megalim solar power project and many round the table took notes in Hebrew and it was remarkable to watch, especially the smooth transition between spoken english and written hebrew.

Respect.

@Eli, thanks. I think the quote is very important too. I am glad that I managed even a barely readable attempt at Hebrew. The word shapes looked interesting so I wanted to try it. And yes the pen is the Duofold (poor picture I'm afraid). Still getting used to its obliqueness.

Disclaimer for others here: I do not speak, read or write Hebrew in any way. I was taking a risk by attempting it, the risk of offending others. Happy that hasn't happened!

My fellow citizens easily move in any direction - left-to-right, right-to-left. Regarding my humble self, I had a valuable experience both in "print style" (in high school, where I used to be a publisher/editor/staff writer of a miniature handwritten weekly, 16 pages in 2x2.5" format) and in managing bilingual matter (almost five years in one of the Israel's largest printing houses - daily planners, greeting cards and brochures in English and Hebrew). Glad you like my little experiment ;)

As we know from the Shadow, crime doesn't pay. But the risk sometimes does. Well done, E_o_C!

Never had an Architect nib. Everything you see above is written with a Medium Italic Oblique rotated almost to 12 o'clock. Otherwise, the nib is dry, toothy, scratchy, giving me as much pleasure as I can get writing with a shovel. I believe my hand is to blame, not the nib.

I have a sudden pressing thirst for a coffee...

Tsk. Middle of August and I think this is the first time I'm managed to go beyond "Hmm, must remember to post in this thread" to actually doing it. Too much time spent drooling over other posters' pens and handwriting. Anyway, here I am to lower the tone; writing a letter to my brother and decided on a French theme:

fpn_1471252068__watermanfrancais.jpg

French Waterman's "New Look" lever filler that an old thread on this board leads me to believe rejoiced in the catchy designation "No.4852V". As pens go it may not look much in a photo, but boy, in hand it oozes quality and style from every pore. Très chic. Inked with Herbin's Violette Pensée on Rhodia R paper.

Thank you!

Another great pen-ink combo. Is it a stub?

Très chic indeed! So elegant. I've got its Canadian contemporary (a Taperite, need to repair it), far less classy.

Fantastic work, EOC!

Using my Parson's Essential OM as Hebrew/Architect nib:

Wow! You always have something special up your sleeve! This is a beautiful pen, and an interesting grind. I am not sure how you do it, but you can pick up any nib and make it write like a dream. Beautiful handwriting.

This pen is back in rotation and is paired with a different ink.

It is usually fed Tsukushi or Ancient Copper.

Pen: Wahl Eversharp Rosewood Ring-top pen with Medium Left Oblique #4 nib

Ink: Sailor Jentle Rikyu Cha

Paper: Life Cream Writing Pad

This is a beautiful vintage pen! And, of course, you know how to make the most of it with your fantastic handwriting.

Today, I have a Sheaffer set :)

I'm flattered, but don't overestimate my talents: here's the nib I'm struggling with. It's not exactly a nightmare, but by no means a beautiful dream.

What a set! Got a Crest Tuckaway from the "fat" series - one of my best pens ever.

Skysora, I love it! Thank you for sharing.
