I've been a little out of the loop on the forums lately, but thanks to everyone for sharing your pens and writing! As always, everything looks splendid. ^_^ I am constantly adding new pens and inks to my consideration list thanks to this thread. <3

Happy New Year to all! Hope 2016 brings all good stuff, including of course some pen and inky goodness. Speaking of which, I think it's time we get going the 2016 thread... I for one look forward to sharing some new pictures of the surprises brought forward by the holliday season! ;)

Got in a bunch of pens I had ordered before the holidays from some money I got for my birthday. This means I'll have probably close to twenty different stub dip pens for my stub comparison I'm planning. Woo hoo!

Here's one of my favorites. Super flexible.

Nice! And I'm doing a test run for the nibs you were so kind to send me. Too early to publish the results, but I love the feeling. Hope it will improve with Registrar's Ink, but Waterman Serenity Blue is just alright. And these Tachikawa holders you recommended are pure fun. Thanks again!

I am going to have to also try these pen holders and pens soon. I'll be sure to ask for advice first, though!

I'm impressed with people who can use an oblique. Since I started the Palmer Method 2 1/2 months ago right handed, I thought the oblique couldn't be much harder than the fountain pen. I was wrong. More practice. Much more practice. The left hand is getting a little better too. But now I can stop drooling over all the obliques, since they are easy to make. It did take a while to get all the angles sorted out though. Paper to nib = 35 degrees. Nib to pen, 55 degrees. Hand to paper 45 degrees. It's always more fun making something for the first time.

That's awfully smooth edges for a straight quill. I'm impressed.

I am a happy camper, today  .

Forgive the misspelling of "standard", please. Sometimes I get to concentrating so hard on the writing process that I misspell something and don't even notice until later....

Beautiful piece of art and craft, that is. I hope you use it to you heart's content, and do not set it on a pedestal for show.
