This is why it is so hard to nail down PPS. It's another one of it's magic properties. One day it's light and bright like River Tam dancing at a country hoe-down, and the next it's dark and somber, like looking into an ocean abyss.

Oh, Ms Amber Lea,

You surely don't know "MURKY," Vert Empire is almost "RETINA SEARING" next to a "GOOD" murker! But I like it because it has a nice matte finish & is old fashioned, a faded green. It was the first "colored" ink I bought & immediately filled my Mother's old Sheaffer Snorkle that is close to that color. That poor "fine nibbed" pen gets little use because of the tiny nib BUT it has been refilled several times with this ink. I even bought a special edition bottle of it from La Couronne du Comte. Might be "one" you need when you start on that FOURTH cabinet!

You are right, I'm not a good judge of Murky - this was too murky for me, but I like my inks blindingly vibrant and distinctly unmatted. I think it must look beautiful in the old Snorkle though.

 

As for a 4th cabinet, when I moved in the third bookcase, it has as many shelves as both of the other two cabinets combined so I doubled my ink display case. I also tried to display them artistically which takes up more room. Anyway, I have two more shelves to reorganize before I redo the MB Rubinato cabinet.
