What Pen Are You Waiting For In The Mail - 2016 Edition

I should be getting my first FP of 2016 in the mail today.

 

Canadian Amazon had (may have still) a good 20% off all office products, so I lunged at one of the new Parker Sonnets with 18k nib. It's the brown hard rubber/lacquer with rose gold trimming and a sensible M nib. The sonnets are a good price for a solid gold nib. Also, the rhodium coat gives it the additional smoothness I'm looking for at the moment.

 

In addition, I bought my other half a pen for Valentine's; an RB from the same line. She's tried FPs but she's a lefty and her grip makes it impossible not to end up with big tiger stripes across the page.

 

I'm not sure why I'm boring you with that, but there we go. I have a bit of the dreaded block this morning, so I'm waffling. Odd duality, but still.

I'm one of those who is waiting for the Edison 2015 LE pens to be finished and shipped out. I chose the extended Mina in denim ebonite with one of those funky slim nibs that Brian has just started using. That's been tiding me over since October.

Ordered a Franklin-Christoph Iterum a few days ago...but I'm guessing it might be awhile before I get it. I think they were in the path of that huge snowstorm. Tried calling and got their answering machine during normal business hours. I plan to shoot them an email later tonight.

EoC was messing around with bids on a Parker 45. Not sure why, have had 3 and gave them all as gifts. Anyway, accidentally hit the submit button and won a green one for $20. Perhaps another PIF pen?

I was informed yesterday that my Asa Rainbow flat top in cherry swirl is on its way.

There were delays as it was out of stock then the horrific floods in Chennai caused obvious issues, but It's en route now and I can't wait.

I'm also waiting on a Baoer 027 as well.

Today I ordered the Montegrappa Wonder Woman fountain pen. It will take two weeks for it to be in stock, but then I will receive it (and then it will be sent off for a regrinding as their finest nib is too large for my handwriting)

Just saw this...that's cool.

 

I want both of their Batman Pens, even though one is ten times as expensive as the other...ugh!
