Replacement Sailor 1911 Feed?

I recently purchased a Sailor 1911 that has a damaged feed, I was unaware that both the feed and nib were damaged when I purchased the pen. The nib writes ok but thicker than it should but it is usable, it also looks like someone has burnt the tip of the feed for some reason although it works I think a new one would help the pen and support the nib a bit better. I was wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to buy replacement feeds for Sailor pens?

You could try contacting a local Sailor distributor, though knowing Sailor they probably won't sell feeds (or even nibs) on their own. If it's still under warranty, you could try to get it repaired by them.

Thank you for the reply

The pen was purchased used and it's a model that I've not seen listed on any current sites so I think it's long out of warranty but I'll give Sailor a call next week and see if they can help, even if they can only provide a new feed I think it would improve the pen.

Not sure of the pen shops on your side of the pond, but we have one here in the US called nibs.com. You must have one over there that sells and works on sailor pens and nibs.

I work on all my pens Montblanc, Pelikan, Parker, etc. except the sailors. They are not made for us to mess with and sailor itself Doesnt seem to want us to. These local shops that sell and service

Sailor pens have a direct line to sailor and can probably do the work for you. They also have parts hanging around. If you hit on the right shop you could make out very well.

I'd advise getting an estimate first. Sailor will charge you slightly less for the nib than a new pen would cost...good luck, let us know how you make out.
