Kwz Ink Iron-Gall Ig Gold

I think you might pour out the ink and pour it back... to have it oxidised a little in the process. According to Mrs KWZI, these yellow and orange IG inks tend to darken with the air in the bottle over time because they are very light to begin with. The final colour on paper is still the same. I think you can accelerate the process a little by exposing it to the air.

@Lgsoltek is right :) @Tas - the pen that you tried during the Pen Show was inked a week before, and as the pen is not hermetic, the ink became darker inside over few days, that's why you didn't see it so yellow at start. It is better not to mix it with anything - even tap water might be dangerous for its stability.

- Best wishes, Mrs. KWZI :)

Guys, I thank you !

Loaded into a couple of the new Noodlers Ahab cartridges, one in the pen one as spare.

I knew my Ahabs "breathed" as they lose ink quite quickly if left alone. The IG Gold now comes out much darker (legible) and still performs a small magical colour change.

Thanks so much for the advice. :)

I've just ordered a bottle of this, as my sample's almost run dry.

I have a strange reaction to this ink, this color. I almost don't like it but I like it. There's something impractical about the color but practical about the IG and the color is definitely goldish, brownish-yellowish-goldish, I don't know. I almost don't even like the color and yet I like it a lot.

As for flow, it's great. I'm using it in a F-C #65 (F) -- and it's just great. So I very much enjoy using this rather enigmatic ink.

I think one of the charms of this ink is the drastic colour change. In a wet pen you can see it changes from a barely visible yellow to an almost black colour.
