This is a great deep dark blue -- love it. Will look for it when it comes out on eBay. Thank you for the detailed review, water resistance test, chromatography and analysis. Impressive work, Vaibhav!

Dear Vaibhav,

Thanks for the brilliant exposition of Daytone ink. A few points for consideration:

1. Add shotgun pellets or a piece of lead into the ink. Check after a few days. Poor quality inks will lose their colour and become pale watery substances. Chelpark is like that.

2. Cheaper inks are basically liquid dyes. Fine to use but problem comes in when the ink dries inside the pen or remains in the pen -- then it starts eating into rubber and metal parts.

3. I always liked Camel most, out of Indian inks. Would add a few drops of sketch pen ink into a bottle of Camel ink and get these deep colours. Mind you, the ink dries faster, much faster. But the brilliant blues and jet blacks were superb. I used my schoolday sheaffer pens, as dip pens, as in the 70s and 80s I didnt have access to sheaffer cartridges. Medium nibs and smooth as butter.

Cheers,

Ajay

Thanks for including their website. Now that is one good offer.... For "ordinary" users, there's not only the 60 but also the 500-ml bottles... but if you really write a lot, why not get the 5-liter bottle?

Thank you so much

This is a great ink, too bad it's not available on Ebay yet. Are all Daytone FP inks water resistant? I'm especially interested in the turquoise, green, and red inks. Thanks!

Very good review!! I have to agree with you, this IS NOT a Blue/Black ink!! It's very close to Aurora's Blue to my eyes. Since I've not found any US retailer I guess I won't be able to give it a try !!
