Linda Medley suggested:

CYAN: Noodler's Navajo Turquoise

MAGENTA: Noodler's Shah's Rose

YELLOW: Noodler's Yellow

Check out her mixes here:

I also like Platinum Mix Free, but it's not CYMK.

The trick is to use primary (CYMK) colors first because the RYB are more likely to give you muddy colors.

Hi both.

It's the Octopus set. Octopus primarily make printer inks, but also make a handful of FP inks, which I really like. Burgunder and Karibik are my favourites. Really good, basic inks to use and not expensive. So I was eager to try their Rainbow mixing kit, and I've not been disappointed.

Amberlea - I like the Platinum set too. Their colours are good to use 'straight'. They are useful inks for mixing as they bring some sheen to the mix, especially Silky Purple.

You people are evil. :ninja: :ninja: :ninja:

Not only are you trying to bankrupt me by making me buy even more inks, you are trying to make my head explode. :gaah: :gaah: :gaah:

All these choices, all these possibilities :puddle: :puddle: :puddle:

I already have the Noodler's Navajo Turquoise. Now I have to save up to get the Yellow, the Shah's Rose, and Whiteness of the Whale when it comes back.

And there are the pens I NEED to buy.

And the cat people want to be fed as well. I thought they were predatory carnivores, but apparently not...

Anyway, I added some notes to my entry above.

I think it is a real compliment to SBRE Brown & Diamine to have produced an ink that you enjoyed more than Bung Box or Kobe ink! I used same yesterday & was still enamored with it. I hope he will feel inspired to "do another one."

I owe it all to you, my friend. I also hope the good doctor expands his line to other colors and reissues more of the brown...which I really really like!

I bought a lot of inks this year --and I have a bunch of samples that I received at Christmas that i have to try.

My favourite one so far (there are still 2 days left) ... is Emerald of Chivor. I like the sheen, but after all, I like the colour!

My favourite is also Emerald de Chivor. I love the colour, sheen and flow. The sparkles are a bonus.

2015 was the year that I dove into the deep end of fountain pens and inks (I had four inks before 2015 and six pens - now I have somewhere close to a hundred inks, counting samples). SO I have some catching up to do...

Favorite ink of the moment is Sailor Jentle Four Seasons Miruai. I'm a sucker for dark greens and this one behaves so well in my pens. It edges out Diamine Cult Pens Deep Dark Green, which is harder to get, but also very nice. I have and am intrigued by KWZ Iron Gall Green #2, but I have not had the nerve to do more than dip a pen in it.

Current Daily Carry: Pilot Custom 743 with 14k Posting nib (Sailor Kiwa-Guro), Sailor 1911L Realo Champagne with 21k Extra Fine nib (Sailor Tokiwa-Matsu). Platinum Century 3776 Bourgogne (Diamine Syrah), Nakaya Portable Writer Midori with 14k Extra Extra Fine nib (Lamy Peridot), Pilot Vanishing Point Stealth Black with Extra Fine nib unit (Pilot Blue Black), a dozen Nockco DotDash index cards of various sizes and a Traveler's Notebook.
