It's interesting to see the Pilot cultural references in silver compared to the Sheaffer examples. Each company drew on cultural references and similarly, while each produced examples of easily recognized objects that go beyond the cultural limits they also produced examples that only carry meaning when the cultural reference is explained.

congrats! on your new pen. i have always had an eye on a Pilot silvern line, but never got one fearing that it would be too heavy for my hand for an everyday writing.

How are you planning on dealing with the tarnish? I almost got one last month but I hold off because of that.

Have you seen the other 2 models? I've seen other models with dragons and such, but I am not so sure if they belong to the same family models.

Thanks! The weight is a non issue for me, I find it quite comfortable. Now Yard O Led grands are at the other end of the weight spectrum but still remain comfortable.
