Kobe (神戸市 Kōbe-shi) is the sixth-largest city in Japan and is the capital city of Hyōgo Prefecture. It is located on the southern side of the main island of Honshū, on the north shore of Osaka Bayand about 30 km (19 mi) west of Osaka. With a population around 1.5 million, the city is part of the Kyoto-Osaka-Kobe metropolitan area along with Osaka and Kyoto. Its name comes from "kanbe" (神戸), an archaic title for supporters of the city's Ikuta Shrine. Kobe became one of Japan's 17 designated cities in 1956.

Kobe is famous for its shirines and nioce architecture but among fountain pen and ink afficionados the name Kobe cause increased heart-rate. The city is a home of Nagasawa-Kobe stationery shop that offers incredible lione of more than fifty inks made by Sailor.

My master - plan is to prepare comparison of full line of Nagasawa-Kobe inks. Not an easy task as they're not the most obtainable inks on the market, but hopefully I'll manage to do it :)

At the moment Nagasawa-Kobe offers 52 inks:

Suidousuji Marchais Blue looks bad. To be honest I dislike such hues. Actually I hate them and this one will never make it to one of my pens again .

Another great review! While I do like blue-greens, I really don't care for this one.

visvamitra, this time we agree, this is so not my colour either.

Makes me shudder like I've just eaten a Tangfastic.

I like this ink :-)

Ha, is that a Lamy I see before me . . . :yikes:

(I have two I'm delighted with and have just - thanks partially to visvamitra - ordered another. Oh the shame. )

Thanks for the review. I guess someone must like using this color. But I'm not one of them....

I love blues and greens, but not mixed together. :)

Visvamitra's honesty and passionate dislike for this color are amusing as always, and I agree with swanjun completely. My opinion: teals and blue-greens are often attractive, including this ink. I hope this opinion does not result in an antipodal firestorm!

Oh no worries, we don't do firestorms here. There's enough pens and inks for everyone to have their own personal favorites.

I like migo984's drawing, but I think I'll stick with more red-leaning blues for me.

I agree, not an ink color that suits my eye at all. Thanks for the review though, now I know to steer clear.

This is quite an old photo. I no longer have the 14k nib (too rigid) and haven't inked that Nexx for yonks. I just can't get on with Lamy pens - no soul.........

Blue Nosed Bear only lighter. Meh

LOL. I own BNB, but I'm not a fan, I never use it, so I have shared most of my bottle. I love Migo's drawing, though, like Vis, I can't see this one being in my line up.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).
