Big Apple Pen Club December Meeting!

The Big Apple Pen Club, New York City's active fountain pen club, will meet next Thursday evening, December 3, from 7-9 PM, at Bard Hall, 410 West 58th Street, Manhattan.

Why are we meeting the first Thursday? Because Fountain Pen Hospital's Holiday Expo starts the next morning! The Expo is a wonderful show of modern pens, and many manufacturers' reps and pen people attend. There are discounts, giveaways, and a good crowd the whole weekend. Since you'll be coming to NYC for the Expo, join us at Bard Hall for our regular meeting. Feel free to bring in any food or drink. We have a good mix of current and vintage pen lovers, we talk pens, we have a good time.

Directions:

Bard Hall, the residence facility for Bard Graduate Center, is located at 410 West 58th Street in Manhattan, just west of 9th Avenue/Columbus Avenue. Mass transit is encouraged, although there is limited street parking that becomes available in the neighborhood, even on the block.

Directions via subway -- take the 1/A/C/B/D trains to 59th Street/Columbus Circle (note: 2/3 trains do not stop at 59th, even though it is a major intersection). Depending on which subway exit stair you use, put Central Park behind you and walk around the southern (left) side of the Time Warner complex, which is 58th Street. Walk west on 58th (against traffic); 9th Avenue/Columbus (58th is where 9th Avenue becomes Columbus...) is the next intersection. Bard Hall is diagonally across the intersection and three addresses downhill on 58th at 410, immediately west of the small construction site. Please tell the guard you are there for the Pen Club -- you will be expected and directed to the proper room.
