Inked up my Metropolitan Medium.

Damn it's dark! To me it looks more or less black, very hard to see the blue hues on many papers.

This is going to be the first Kobe ink I'm getting!~~~~

It looks like what I've always envisioned when I first heard of the colour blue-black

(other more common brands' blue-blacks are just dark blue to me.... no blackness  )

To me it's not a blue-black. To me it's just a very dark blue, and very well behaving.

A blue-black to me is an ink that has the basic color of blue, but shades to black.

Bungbox 4B is the one I think has come closest to my requirements, but still not really there. I would like to have the basic color more blue, 4B is slightly too teal. But it's still a really, really nice ink.

Is what I think too!

like how Ink of witch is purple that shades black and Doyou is brown that shades black right? Except we are looking for a blue that does that.

Well... I've been looking and looking and no ink has that :( (tho I am going to go check out the Bungbox 4B now :) )

oh, is it comparable to FPN's Van Gogh Starry Night? this kobe ink...

So, the splash makes it look like it has teal. The writing does not have teal tones. So, when you write with it does it have a teal tint?

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

My experience is that it doesn't.

Today I cleaned out a pen with this ink in it. When I rinsed the sink, all the small droplets of ink turned into magenta... Quite a surprise, but it looked cool. :)

This ink has a ridiculous amount of green sheen :D :D ... maybe that is the "teal" people are talking about... Hint of green in the blue is actually the sheen. ;)

I'm only able to get that sort of sheen with this ink on Tomoe river paper gushing out of a Homo Sapiens, and even then it's not frequent. It seems a green sheening blue ink is sort of special. All the other blues I have sheen red. Are there any other inks out there that sheen green like this too?

I get the green sheen on cheaper paper as well, not on the cheapest of paper and not the amount Cyber6 is dispalying, but a nice green hint shows up frequently. On Oxford Optik it's no problem to get the sheen.

I have seen other blue inks with geen sheen, but I can remember which...

None. And I am in love. It turns my italic into a hovercraft.

This statement made me giggle.
