Received Nauka

My Naukas arrived today. It took a very long time, but they are here, and in excellent condition.

Mr. Subramaniam of Asapens had written to me some time ago that there would be a delay in his shipping my pens (I had ordered two) because something had gone wrong with the engraving of my name (first time I have a pen with my name engraved!) and it had to be done anew.

And to my surprise the pen with the mishap was included in my package! Now that is a nice touch. The pen is excellent except for the one cosmetic error - the position of the engraving is not correct. Rather than throwing the pen away I guess, Asapens opted to send me the pen anyway - with the one they did do to spec as well...

I find that the error is comparatively small, and I think I will use the pen, error and all. In fact, it will be the first of them to be inked. Now if I could only decide which ink to put in there... Too many choices, as usual.
