I kind of pre-ordered from an online seller, but there was no actual order or credit information. So I'm expecting I don't actually have to buy from that seller.

 

Thank you for your photo Cyber6. Now I'll buy the ink and the pen since that ink looks amazing.

I don't know how long they last. I do know that fountain pen hospital and Goulet pens are sold out. I ordered one through Apellboom

I don't think Goulet has gotten any, yet. They did the same "not in stock" with the TWSBI Eco before they received any of them. I put my name on the list to be notified when they come in.

It seems that the US dealers have to wait for this one....

 

As mentioned before, Lamy (Lamy USA) has informed me that the pens will not be shipped until later this month. They are projecting a ship date at April 15th. When they arrive, I will post them on site (first come/first serve basis- no pre-orders/emails please).

Oddly, I had just decided to see if they had them in. I'm far too excited to get this specific colour.

Mine arrived a couple of days ago. The colour is beautiful and I like the matt finish. The ink however, is spectacular and already a favourite.

I haven't got the pen yet, as nobody in the UK seems to have it with a fine nib.

 

But I do have the ink, and I echo what others have said - and I think it's probably the nicest purple I've seen. It's just a shame they won't sell it in bottles in the UK - I got my three 50ml bottles from Sweden.

Ach, I caved and ordered one with a medium nib from Pean Heaven (£13.90 inc shipping) - I have other Safaris and the full range of nibs, so I can swap them around as I please.

 

The thing is, I really want to start using the dark lilac ink, but it just wouldn't be right for the first pen I ink up with it to not be the Dark Lilac Safari!

Well, I get to wait awhile. I just received my Lamy 2000 from Massdrop. My budget can only take one pen this month. But I guess I get to live vicariously through your posts.

I am to my heart a lover of red. I am also not necessarily a Lamy lady. Although, formally my collection did include in rotation a couple limited or special edition Safaris; the light blue with red clip, lime edition, a red, believe a black special edition, before it became a regular edition. Months ago, I fell in love with the color purple, deep dark beautiful rich purple. So far, my loved inks in purple are Diamine, Imperial purple ink. Diamine Shimmertastic Purple Pizzazz and Iroshizuku purple inks. On the way to me is this purple Lamy with an extra fine nib from Goulet Pen Company. I don't know what I am going to do with another pen, especially a Lamy, but I am looking forward to seeing how it feels to write with it and using purple ink coming out of its nib. :wub:
