Please help me identify this Waterman's Ideal. The silver hallmark carries the alphabets F.DW and a P other than the image symbols. And what is the stone on the top of the cap?

The stone, I believe, is a Heliotrope also called a Blood Stone. This was popular with items of jewellery, for example watch fob spinners.

I also believe the finish is 'line and dot' overlay. You can date it by searching for Silver Hall marks and matching them to those on the pen.

It's a number 12.
