Absolutely. In the New Year.

Wonderful. Might just have to buy some back for several reasons - as gifts, to PIF, to use whatnot...

Looking forward! :D

And I want before I die
My soul's verses to bestow.

All those moments will be lost in time.
Like tears in rain.

My samples arrived today, thanks Kevin!

Only had a chance to play around with Sydney Harbour Blue so far, but first impressions are - saturated, free-flowing and the colour reminds me of Sailor Yama-Dori with no sheen/ Pilot Iroshizuku Tsuki-Yo and Diamine Twilight. Will try to get a review up once I've had a bit more time to play around with it, and try it in different pens.

There's a touch more green than the scan shows.

I received a set of Colours of Aus samples today

fpn_1448361448__newcoloursofaus.jpg

I couldn't get the scan to give me all the colours accurately. The only one that is seriously wrong is Uluru Red which really has a red/brown ochre tinge to it.

Compare the release versions to the earlier test versions -

Barrier Reef Blue, in a slightly wet pen will give you a nice sheen.

Interesting... Black Stump has a purple tinge .. Barrier Reef is very BRIGHT and lighter (Anyone wants a good Blue Diamond look a like?) .. and Uluru is not as red.

I really need this set of inks. I might get it for Christmas... ;)

The real new Uluru Red is partway between my top scan and the bottom scan at 4%.

The Barrier Reef Blue seems to give me different colours in different pens on different papers. Scan above shows a bright blue, from a dipped FP nib on Tomoe River paper. However, in a fine-nibbed Sonnet, on office white copy paper, shows as a darker blue with green overtones.

The new Black Stump Black gives you the black black of charcoal, with bits of lighter ashes, just as you would get on a burnt-out stump.

Sydney Harbour Blue has shading, shading, shading and more shading.

What is our unit of shading? Do we have one?

Very pleased to see these. There is a problem in being absent for so long. The ink reviews look good and I am happy to support an Australian company. The colours and sizes are right for me. There will be an order in the new year.

Very pleased to see your pens on Justwrite, too. Very impressive.

I got my samples too. Dip a dip pen to see the colors and then chose to put a bit of Sydney Harbour Blue in my Noodlers Flex. Did s bit of writing, signed a few forms. The impressed me. There was some nice shading making it bro interesting and the ink dried very fast on the copy paper. Then my pen did a Noodlers on me and spit out the rest. So I'm trying to decide what pen to fill to really run it through its paces.

I am immediately drawn to Sydney Harbour Blue and after DavidW's comments also Stump Black.

I'm trying very hard to not accumulate inks and have a couple of blues and a black at the moment but these are certainly on my list.

Just put in an order for the two blues and the green. They should be here in a day or two, which is just as well as I'm in the middle of a pen clean-out and rotation phase.

Tragedy - I was sent a set of sample bottles of the new Colours of Aus. The Daintree Green was only opened once to do post #23 above. I just now opened it again, and I have the Dreaded SITB.

Quelle horreur!!!

Slimy strings of gloop dripping off the end of my dip pen.

I really hope it was just a pre-production glitch.

Without a doubt, my favorite brand of ink. The colors are awesome. They are incredibly well behaved. I will not let these inks run out....ever!

Great job Kevin and the Just Write Team!

DCWaites, let me know. I've opened mine - no problems.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Mine was good to begin with, I don't know what happened.

Anyway, it's a good excuse to order a set of 30ml bottles.

Must remember to sterilise the dip pen I used...
