Ink: Monteverde Black with Gris Nuage wash.

Pen: Faber Castell no name with a No 3 nib.

Paper: Cass Art 300gsm watercolour paper.

Will revisit the typewriter theme again, so much to appreciate in there.

I've got no idea why. Anyways, I like your artwork, and your friendly posts :)

I look forward to seeing more.

P.S. How did you get that gloriously ominous dark background? I'm assuming you didn't sit for hours painstakingly filling it in stroke for stroke...?

The Faber Castell pen, much like the Namiki Falcon, will put down a massive broad stroke if reversed and held flat onto the paper. It's not as predictable as the Falcon but does a good job of filling gaps. . .

Wawooo, beautiful.

Amazing how you got to give such a luminous rendering using dark colours.

Congratulations

Feeling pretty guilty about not doing any of these lately, so I paused in my regularly scheduled sketching for a project and did these, since all materials were right there in front of me and quite frankly I had no excuse ;) Ink Sailor Yama dori in a Sailor 1911S F pen

I just want to be more consistent. I'd gotten away from drawing and painting for so long but I've been able to get back to it over the past couple of years, mainly from taking classes.

I can see that you're struggling to find the right words here. You want to use "and" instead of "no."

:lticaptd:

Personally, I want ones I can't find at the moment: Grey Plum, Honey, IG Gummiberry, and IG Cherry.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

It was restraint that caused my choice of words, though you are correct, Unfortunately, that can create other problems (or minor details).

I agree, very nice work.... and to everyone...

This is a Great place to hang out and be inspired.

Hurrah! Another list. Thanks Pira.

Here's my #21, a measuring device.

post-54491-0-23206200-1459708402_thumb.jpg

As usual, I should have waited for longer before erasing my pencil lines. Perhaps I'll learn some day.

This took me a few attempts. First I tried some measuring spoons but gave up on that idea quickly since it was going horribly wrong. I tried a careful study of the watch which turned disastrous, so this quicker, looser sketch is the final result.

As usual, this is with pencil, then Platinum Carbon Pen / Ink on Moleskine Pocket Sketchbook paper.

Hi everybody, I'm still here, been keeping up to date with all your lovely works via the Weekly Digest :)

@ Tas - another "wow" from here for your keys!

@ milkb0at - after 6 faithful years' service (so far), I can highly recommend the VSB automatic chicken coop door :D

@ Snowbear - what do YOU call a headtorch then?! I have been meaning to ask that since I saw your comment. I'm sure Google would tell me if I looked, but where would the interaction be in that?

One of these arrived a few weeks back, "aha" thought I, "the very thing" - of course by now OH has put it onto his bike, so this is copied from a well-known online retail site...

@milkb0at: nice watch.

@Moominyak:

In the US, I believe most of us think of a "torch" as a stick with an open flame. either placed in a bracket on a stone wall or carried; things that were used before electricity was harnessed. Electricity is used for lights and lamps.

We would call a headtorch a headlamp or headlight. We also have headlights on automobiles, which are the white forward-pointing torches). We know others are confused by our version of English, but that's OK, y'all confuse us with lorries, bonnets (on an auto), jumpers, trainers and that extra syllable in "aluminum." ;)
