I have a couple Varius and an Ecridor pens. I have the Varius Metwood (Rosewood) and ChinaBlue and the Ecridor Retro.

The nib on Ecridor is super, stiff but smooth, responsive and with constant feedback. It simply does what you want. What I don't like is that the section can get slippery and the cap does not always stay aligned with the body. Neither are major problems, more minor annoyances.

The Varius though is a whole different story. Looking at it, it has all the features I don't like in pens and should be a pen I hate. But instead I find myself returning to them and that when in rotation they tend to stay in rotation longer and get emptied faster than almost any other pen I own.

Of the two, the ChinaBlue is certainly the more striking in appearance and the lacquer work fantastic but it is the Metwood that gets the most pocket time.
