Or you could just strain the Rouge Hematite through a coffee filter. :P

 

I'll see if I can do a chromatography of these two inks tonight to see just how close they are. Their behavior is VERY similar in my usage. Both are very, very good, wet, well-behaved reds.

 

 

Actually, I think version 2 would be perfect and someone around here will want to sell it.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Well maybe it's good this ink isn't available anymore. I have too much ink already.... Or maybe not enough ink.

As suspected, these inks share their primary (pink) dye and possibly the secondary (red) dye, too. Akane additionally has a third yellow/orange component, that is not very noticeably in the real world.

 

I wrote a list two days ago with one of these inks and, looking at it today, I cannot tell which ink I used.
