Questions About Pilot Decimo Vs Vanishing Point Nibs Vs Capless

I have a Japanese-release Matte Black VP in Medium. It writes almost as wide as my Custom Heritage 91 Medium (which reaches Lamy 2000 Medium widths). Compared to Metro Medium, it is a bit wider but not significantly. I love the Metro Medium width and the VP Medium width but I'm not loving the CH 91 Medium.

I do not think VP nibs differ in widths...whether Japanese (silver-only) and International release (silver, gold and black nibs). I'm purchasing a black VP Fine nib soon, will update here.

If anyone is still reading this topic, what is the difference between the vp extra fine nib, and using the vp fine nib upside down? I ask because I find using the fine nib upside down quite satisfactory.

Thanks for your thoughts. :)

If anyone is still waiting for an answer ... just tested my VP (matt black 18k) F nib. The upside down writing is only a smidgeon finer but, surprisingly, very smooth. Wasn't scratchy at all.
