Although you can't actually see the sheen, I see that Sankodo looks green in these scans. The sheen is green. The color is purple.

Thank you for this - I didn't realise ebony purple was a sheener. It was my very first bottle of ink which I haven't used in ages and just last night was wondering whether I should pass it on. Sounds like it's time to break out some Tomoe and a wet nib and re-experience it now that I have a range of pens to explore it with all over again.

Oh, yes, I haven't tried that one. I admit, at $40 a bottle, I sort of had to stop buying the Bung Box inks, but dang, that's stunning.

Have you tried it? I suspect it is a bottle I really ought to buy because it's my kind of blue.
