A Trio Of Sailor Realos Incl. Le Pink Gold Tenku-Gensou (Picture Heavy)

Hi people, after seeing so many of you getting into these gorgeous Sailors, I decided to get my three Realos together for a quick set of pictures. Here's a few notes and enjoy!

Purchased at:

All pens were purchased from either Penroom or Fahrneys

The Blue Realo:

The Sailor Blue Model 11-9373-340 Pink Gold Tenku-Gensou has a 21K H-F large gold nib and gold speckles in the translucent body making for a "glistening" yet understated look. Dimensions are 141mm (156mm posted) x 13.3mm (16mm cap) and 22g weight.

The two Black Realos:

The two Sailor Model 11-9379 1911 Realo Fountain Pens With Silver Trim have rhodium-plated 21K H-EF gold nibs. As with the Blue, these Realos have the ink window below the center band and is really striking when you use bright red or light blue ink. Dimensions are 141mm (156mm posted) x 13.3mm (16mm cap).
And now my unscientific micro-review:
All these pens write with amazing smoothness on TR paper with a feedback that I can only describe as so pleasant and "sure" that it feels like the Sailor EF and F nibs are made for this paper! It just makes you want to write, albeit small :)
What I find interesting is that the H-EF 1911 writes with the same precision and feedback as the H-F Tenku.
Why did I buy two Realos? These are my favorite Kanji lettering writers, so I wanted them inked in two colors. Why not two Blue Realos? Because these are evidently really tough to find and I was lucky to get this one! If you see any of these at a decent price, grab it.

Very nice! I've been eyeing the blue Realo for a long time, but I just can't get over the gold trim. (Probably a good thing!) My silver trim 1911 Realo is one of my favorite pens.

Thanks gylyf!

BTW, here is a longer thread on these pens and a better image of the Sailor inks as well :)

The 1911 Realo is an amazing pen. I understand why you would have two - it's incomparable to any other pen I have.
