Kobe (神戸市 Kōbe-shi) is the sixth-largest city in Japan and is the capital city of Hyōgo Prefecture. It is located on the southern side of the main island of Honshū, on the north shore of Osaka Bayand about 30 km (19 mi) west of Osaka. With a population around 1.5 million, the city is part of the Kyoto-Osaka-Kobe metropolitan area along with Osaka and Kyoto. Its name comes from "kanbe" (神戸), an archaic title for supporters of the city's Ikuta Shrine. Kobe became one of Japan's 17 designated cities in 1956.

Kobe is famous for its shirines and nioce architecture but among fountain pen and ink afficionados the name Kobe cause increased heart-rate. The city is a home of Nagasawa-Kobe stationery shop that offers incredible lione of more than fifty inks made by Sailor.

My master - plan is to prepare comparison of full line of Nagasawa-Kobe inks. Not an easy task as they're not the most obtainable inks on the market, but hopefully I'll manage to do it :)

At the moment Nagasawa-Kobe offers 52 inks:

Aoya Cascade Green is one of few shades of green I sincerily and wholeartedly dislike. Brrr. It behaves well though, so if you're into such hues, you won't be disappointed.

Excited to see you getting around to the Sailor Nagasawa Kobe inks!

The non-shaded parts appear too minty in color, however, it looks like a solid green.

If you need samples for #12 Okamoto Pink, #13 Nunobiki Emerald, #22 Shinkaichi Gold, or #44 Sumaura Seaside Blue, message me and I'll mail it out to you.

Looks like a saturated Vert réséda. It's a terror.

Actually.. it looks like Vert Reseda... not more or less saturated... :P

Interesting that so many people dislike this shade! I didn't think of myself of being partial to this shade either, but in my quest to find the perfect green, this is an interesting highlight. For me, it captures the beauty of an emerald better than many inks that are named it, although people are welcome to disagree on that point. Perhaps I'll include a sample of vert reseda in my next order.

My pens: Penny the Penmanship, Dot the Metropolitan, Pallas the Parallel, Neoma the High Ace Neo, Petra the Petit1, Calliope the Kakuno (Also, a Sheaffer No-Nonsense)

My bottles of ink: Sailor Epinard & Ultramarine; Mysterious Blue (Wishlist: Oku Yama)

@AndyYNWA - hopefully I'll get some from Haruka and review it :) Darker turquoises aren't so bad I hate cyanoturquoises.

Guys - I 've just checked Nagasawa shop on Rakten and it seems almost all of their inks are sold out. Is it the case or they just sell it in their retail shop and not via online shop?

One more thing - I've filled my Haolilai 908 with the rest of Aoya sample. In Fine / Medium nib it's significantly darker. I'm at work now so I won't be able to scan these pages, but I'll do it in the evening.

It looks darker and it's surpring because usually most inks look darker when used in Kaweco broad nib. I guess I need to check if something's happening to the feed :)

I'll repeat my question: I 've just checked Nagasawa shop on Rakten and their stationery shop website and it seems almost all Nagasawa Kobe inks are sold out. Does anyone know if it's temporoal or if some colors will be discontinued?

I don't believe any colors (aside from limited editions) will be discontinued. This happens from time to time, when the stock of inks run low.

Atsu (cool-japan) has a few colors left in his ebay store, but I'm going to email him tonight to see when he's going to get more in or when Nagasawa will replenish there stock: cool-japan eBay Store

Vanness has a few colors too: https://vanness1938.com/?q=kobe_ink
