What is bad about the TWSBI pens?

(This is a genuine inquiry for my education, not a challenge to your statement)

It's not that the TWSBI is bad - they are a good pen for the money for most people - I can not seem to find a nib that works to my liking - both in terms of smoothness and line width. The prior 5xx had issues with cracking, the piston knob would have play at the rest position and a few other things. I was almost content with the pen for a long time as there wasn't anything close to it on paper for the money but using a Pelikan 205 has changed my expectations. The Reform on the other hand was love at first sight - fine nib that wrote the right width, right flow rate, a feel in the hand that took me back to the fifth grade and made me write neatly - all for less than $10. I want a pen that writes right without any fuss and the Reform is that piston pen for me. When I said I would buy a dozen, I literally mean it as they are getting harder to find and I am getting more fond of mine... All the best!

If you're willing to hunt, a Pelikan M75 Go! be a fun find. There were several on eBay in NOS condition in box, but they might be gone now. I don't know how well they sold, so it could be that there just that many out there. It's a fun pen that occupies about the same price range as the Lamy Safari with similar quality, the big difference being that it's piston filled, and a good one too. The nib is gold plated, and it's really quite a good nib, not just for the price but overall. The looks are... Questionable (I like them, but others beg to differ) but I've really enjoyed mine, and even though it's a cheap pen it's most certainly worthy of the name Pelikan. Again, it may be a hunt, but I've really enjoyed mine.

"Oh deer."
