Noodler's Banker's Tan For Dromgoole's 2015

Here is my fast review of Noodler's Banker's Tan ink for Dromgoole's at the Dallas Pen Show 2015. Every year Nathan does a special ink for Dromgoole's, which gets handed out at the Dallas Pen Show. I picked mine up in store last week while in Houston and I expect was one of the first to receive the ink. This comes in a 1 oz bottle and may or may not ever be available again. Larry mentioned that Nathan currently only had enough ingredients for 150-ish bottles.

Clearly this is an unusual color. Something along the lines of Pilot Iroshizuku Ina-ho. Of note there is little odor, in particular, there is no chalky odor associated with some Noodler's special edition inks.

I like it, and will use it. HIGHLY WATER RESISTANT if not bulletproof or eternal (no indication on the label).

Pic scanned a little darker than real life.

There is more of a gold sparkle without there being actual sparkles in Banker's Tan than in Ina-ho. While Ina-ho holds up remarkably well to water it also washes out to a grey color. Banker's Tan holds fast.

Good dry time for Noodler's, which this lefty likes much.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

This is a great color and I got mine at the Dallas show. It will be a great substitution for KWZ Honey that was already sold out when I got to the Vaness both just after the show opened! I'm going to enjoy this in my new Pelikan white tortoise, and I was having trouble deciding which ink to start with!

THANKS DROMGOOLES!!!

I used a F nib. Looks like a touch of shading maybe?

I have a suspicion that it would be boring in a F nib, it needs a B or Stub to be interesting at all.

I have a review up done with a F nib. No shading with it.

That's cool. Does it wash at all with water? I like it on the warmer papers, though maybe not enough to need a bottle.

Is "banker's tan" a reference to something?

Nope, it doesn't move. I'll do a sample to show you.
