@jar: Really? This isn't fascinating for you? The percentage of fountain pen addicts who post or don't post their caps... it's something we talk about all the time (whether a particular model pen can post), but we haven't before had numbers to put to it.

Don't care about "likes," but I do care what the market demand is, and it's interesting how the market responds. I mean, I'm surprised anyone at all prefers the cartridge/converter over all other systems. I'm also surprised how many vac filler fans there are.

Also, the results of this poll might possibly nudge a pen-manufacturer toward making a pen that would be better loved by more people.

But mainly, it's just satisfying a curiosity. Are you really not curious about these things?

You don't have a need to know.

It doesn't matter the filling system, or the nib material, but whether the thing works without hassles.

It is not a flagship, but my fattest is a

Conklin Endura Fountain Pen Fine Nib BlackWhite

that is fatter than I like; however, it lightweight and balanced so it would be my choice for FATTEST.

I have never used a nibmeister, so other would be my choice. I ground and polished the nib on my Parker 75 cisele before FPN existed.

Interesting. I like seeing stats like this. One suggestion if you do this again is to break up the $200-$500 range for cost.

GREAT info. Nice to see data. Thanks my friend.

Anyone like Ray Bradbury? Please read "The Laurel and Hardy Love Affair" if you have about 12 minutes.

You will not forget this wonderful gem that is largely obscure and sadly, forgotten. http://bit.ly/1DZtL4g

Well... yeah, I was a little bit sloppy about defining the categories. Really, if I wanted to keep the scaling logarithmic, then the category should've been $201-$400, and then $400-800, $800-1600, and $1600+, but you know... whatever.

It's nice what a clean bell curve it made anyway. Yeah, maybe I could've made it a little more fine-grained, but you can infer values from the basic shape of the curve. Very likely the top of the curve occurs around $300.
