... that makes a product called Colorhue have managed to do similarly for silk (protein) fibers and the necessary acid dyes.
 

But gettjng a combined delayed process almost always means extremely low saturation and a fair amount of unreacted dye crocking (wearing off with movement moisture and touch). The saturation on Noodler's liquids are overall very nice!

Interesting.  I just went to a dyeing workshop recently involving using indigo and marigold.  The indigo was interesting but the marigold results were less yellow and more orange than anyone expected (I brought some cotton fiber to dye and also a skein of linen yarn -- unfortunately the linen all went into the marigold dye bath before I could wind it into two skeins.... :wallbash:
