So I watched this pen for a week and (with a last-minute bid) I won it: a BCHR ringtop with what looks an awful lot like the seldom-seen Artist's Nib - a #2 with awfully long tines, and what looks in the pictures a lot of flex. If it's not, it's probably as close as I'm gonna get to one without getting Mr. Trump to adopt me.

 

A little bashed-up, but if it's fixable it'll make an AMAZING pen.

 

What do you think? Artist's or just long?

I don't know what to call it officially.... But that is a great nib. Look at those tines spread with the finger tip! - and not by using a fingernail or pressing it against the desk.

 

That is one you can put in any pen if you don't like the pen it comes with. Enjoy! and do show some writing samples when you can.

It's - astonishingly - a ringtop, which is my focus as a writer and collector. It needs the services of a nibmeister, so it may be some time before I can present a writing sample.
