What Pen Did You Get Today?

At a small, local antiques and art show I found an old Waterman Ideal fp with a fine and somewhat flexy nib for $10.00. I've taken it apart and once I get all of the pieces of the old broken up sac out of the barrel and more old ink out of the feed I'll re-sac it. It's missing the clip... but I never use the clip anyway.

Today I received the "Lexaf Special" Reform 1745 from Lexaf :)

The previous day I received a solid sterling silver FP from Grifos of Italy at a steal

A Jinhao 1200, silver coloured Dragon clip pen.

Bling or what? This is the pen 'Huggy Bear' from Starsky & Hutch would wear. It's so OTT it doesn't look real.

However, the nib is nice. While described as a broad, I'd say it's more like a Parker medium.

Regards

Richard.

Today I made a short visit to Austria. I purchased my 5th Lamy Safari/Al Star of my collection: the red one! Hooray! Only problem is that the broad nib is to a "star", it is visibly rounded, making it a quasi-BK.

Cheers,

Got a neat OS flattop that needs a new nib and feed. It's a D.W. Beaumel/DURABILT pen in black/pearl. I've got a bunch of interesting nibs that'll probably fit, but I'm not entirely sure which one I'll choose. Toying with putting (gasp) an Omas (M) in it!:)

In the last 24 hours I received a free Sheaffer Imperial (I believe?) from AndyHayes, and placed an order at TWD for a lime Lamy Safari (for me) and a black Lamy Studio (a gift).

So when the Safari arrives, I think that means I've accumulated 5 pens in a month. FPN's fault...

I got this Indian from gopens

The Wirt was a steal on ebay. I believe it's a #5 Nib very smooth and flexible.

It's the nib on the left with 2 other Wirt nibs.

Ok, I admit I fallen in Safari fever by now... yesterday my lovely wife made me a surprise present and gave me a fresh new "Lime"... unfortunately on tuesday I just bought over ebay the same color... so today we went to the shop here in treviso and exchanged with a "white"!!!!!!!!!

Basically now I finished the current production colors. I'm in trouble...

A new Cross ATX in Burgundy arrived today. Holy Cats what a smooth writer. Tried Sheaffer's Skrip in it and almost drowned, the Quink Blue is a little more under control! But what an elegant pen Far more sleek than I expected, and almost too pretty to use. A definite contrast to most of my pens, but it is lovely.

A Waterman Charleston in black w/ gold trim just arrived from repair at Richard Binder's workshop.

I hardly got to use it before... an accident occurred, so I've been waiting a while to use this lovely pen.

A waterman kultur in lilas and a rotring intitial in black & chrome both with fine nibs

Its my first waterman and I am suitably impressed. The fine nib is very silky smooth.......shame it wasnt the bronze I ordered as it would have been fab with the golden brown diamine I had here waiting for it. I'm gonna have to buy some more ink (in a lilac) and another pen (in brown) now to keep up my colour coding :D

oh - I should say I havent inked the intitial yet - it looks impressive thats for sure and the hard plastic case it came in holds 3 pens - very handy!

Hmmmm I was going to put up a WANTS list - but that's too long as well ......
