I got my Fine Nibbed Lamy Safari from the thewritingdesk.co.uk just the other day. Writes so smoothly on my plain moleskine.

Something interesting showed up in today's mail, a Wearever Pacemaker in excellent condition. I've been looking for one of these for at least a month.

I received a Molteni LE Red Ebonite Curukova in the mail this afternoon (had to chase the mail man down so I could sign the insurance slip and get the package). I had gone to get my hair cut and missed the mail by a few minutes - I would have hated to wait until next week.

I purchased this pen from Rob Morrison off of ebay and it was a great purchase. Rob packed it exceptionally well and the pen arrived safe and sound.

It's inked with Diamine Quartz Black and is a smooth writing 18k nib. The pen is, I think, made by Bexley and has great fit and finish. It's a large pen, roughly the size of my Danitrio Densho.

I saw one of those Moltenis at the last PPPC meeting -- they're HUGE. Being ebonite, they wouldn't be super-heavy either. They've also got really nice lines with a gentle curve.

Yea, so far, I really like the pen (Molteni Curukova). It's a bit longer than a Pelikan M800 both capped and uncapped. It sets very well in my hand and is light and well balanced. The jeweled ends are reminiscent of vintage Parkers as are the triple cap bands. This pen may be in my pocket for awhile. The only downside I see so far is the cap/barrel threads appear to be single lead thus it takes 3 1/2 turns to remove the cap; not a big deal for me.

Today was a great fountain pen day for me.

I went to my local pen store here in Houston, Dromgoole's, and while I was trying out some different inks the owner Larry Dromgoole brought over some pens that were on consignment from another customer. One of them was the Waterman Edson LE Sterling Silver, a pen that I thought I'd like to own someday but thought I'd never see. I jumped on it like a duck on a June bug. It's now mine (#2333 of 4000) and I've got it inked with Private Reserve Plum and it writes splendidly! It's a good match for my Edson Diamond Black.

Then, when I got home from Dromgoole's the mailman dropped off a package from David Isaacson of (bleep).com: a mint NIB Sheaffer Snorkel Autograph set and a slightly used Sheaffer Imperial set in sterling silver, both pens with new sacs from Ron Zorn. Both pens are terrific writers. The Sheaffer Imperial looks fantastic now that I've applied a bit of silver cloth to it, and the 14 karat gold appointments on the Sheaffer Autograph shine like new.

Altogether, it's been a great pen day!

I found a deal on a Visconti Divina that I couldn't pass up - 50% off. So I bought it before it disappeared.

Today I "sort of" got my drool pen: a Sheaffer Valor in Burgundy. I took a peak, and it's absolutely gorgeous--the pictures I've seen don't do it justice (as is often the case with pens with pearlescent finishes).

I only "sort of" got it, though, because it's supposed to be a graduation gift, and since my final trimester is only a third of the way through, I don't feel quite worthy yet. Plus, it's my drool pen, and waiting longer only makes me more excited and happy when I finally get it. So I asked my boyfriend to stow it away for another couple of weeks.

A purportedly new Bordeaux Montblanc 146R with OBB nib. It'll have to do. And very nicely, at that! :)

The Green one arrived last week and Roseglow showed up on Friday. The Gray has been here for a while. Love those old Sheaffers!

My long awaited (well, ok, it's been like four days, but it felt like an eternity) Pelikan M215 Blue/Black EF. I loaded it up with some Aurora Black and have been searching for things to write for the past hour! :ninja:

As a gift for my academic achievements this year, my parents bought me a Mont Blanc 146 in black and platinum with an EF nib. I was floored, and having already inked it I can say that it writes like a dream.
