My 'dream' pen arrived today from Pam Braun. Pelikan M805 blue/black m! Oh yes! It's everything I dreamed! Beautiful, substantial, conservative but stunning in it's blue stripes. And yes, it writes wonderfully! Perfect wetness/line width for me. Just what I was hoping for. For the first few lines - or maybe even a paragraph it was skipping at the beginning of some words ... and my heart skipped a beat or two ... (being in Canada it's not so easy to send back for an adjustment) ... but that soon smoothed out - I also find it doesn't like to be 'rolled' to the right in my fingers very far... as long as the nib is lined up parallel to the paper it writes wonderfully. So it forces me to be a bit more careful about the position of the nib on the paper than some of the other pens. However this is a spectacular day! Warm, sunny, spring, and a new Pelikan M805.

a Wooden "Iridium Point Germany", and a Matte Black Sheaffer Targa. $5 dollars for both w/ original Targa gift box Mint. The Targa is really smooth... the IPD looks like junk, but I could always use it for something... right?

Today was a Libelle Epic, black and white. I love it already!

Oh, and grimakis: Take it to work! Then it doesn't matter if it gets stolen, dropped, or otherwise mangled, but you still have a fountain pen.

Rotring Lissabona. Just got it today, new in original packaging, writes great. I love the old Rotring pens and have several. Not a daily pen but I'll see.

Today I received my Pelikan M400 white tortoise from Pam Braun. Great customer service by the way. I love this pen. I can't believe how smoothly it writes. Being new to the fountain pen world, this is my first really nice pen and the first with a gold nib. I think I'm in love...

I foresee a big problem in my future!

Got a Sheaffer White Dot Green Striated in the mail today from a bid I won. The best part was, the plunger fill still works! Writes so very smoothly, too.

Finally got my Black Carbonesque VP with a 06 stub and a 0.9 cursive italic from Mr.Binder :)

Look at my eyes, Faye. One of them is a fake because I lost it in an accident. Since then, I've been seeing the past in one eye and the present in the other. So, I thought I could only see patches of reality, never the whole picture. I felt like I was watching a dream I could never wake up from. Before I knew it, the dream was over...

Me too!! Got the same from Todd at isellpens.com (great price, direct UPS shipping from Chartpac). A flush and nib soak in soapy water will clear up the skip. I love the look and size. Silver colored trim is the way to go.

A blue Wality 69L oversize ED pen. It's big! Like writing with one of those fat Crayola crayons after you've been used to the small skinny ones. Mine came with a medium point nib, although it was advertised as shipping with a fine point nib. Oh, well. I soaked the section in soapy water for a few hours and filled it with Skrip Blue and it's writing up a storm.

I'm a little late on this because I got these earlier this week.

I got an Anthracite Pelikan m200 with a Fine nib and an Amber Pelikan m250 with a Medium nib. These colored demonstrators are probably my favorite Pelikans ever, and the amber and anthracite are my two favorite colors. So, I'm very pleased to receive these two pens. In fact, the anthracite m200 was my first nice fountain pen, so I'm happy to reintroduce it into my collection.

Party's not over because I've got a blue m605 coming next week.

Today I ordered a Visconti Van Gogh Midi Tortoise Demonstrator with M nib from Swisher. I called the other day and they didn't have it in stock. Nevertheless, I've placed my order and I'm anxiously awaiting its arrival some day.

What a lucky day. My wife decided that an unplanned, whimsical purchase was OK  I have wanted a pen with an inlaid nib for quite a while, will be purchasing a Sand Carene from one of wonderful FPN members next week, but really wanted a Sheaffer. Have not been lucky tracking down a vintage Sheaffer but saw a brushed gold Legacy Heritage at Swishers at an unbelievable price. She agreed to the purchase and it sits now loaded with blue Skrip making wonderful symbols, lines, and sentences in any paper I write with it on. The medium nib is super smooth. I guess the 18kt nib helps it stay smooth and not firm at all. It looks great on Rhodia paper in the dark blue that's running in it now.

Can't wait to get the Carene so I can put them through the works head to head.

Lucky day :cloud9:
