In the past three days...a new Parker 45 gold XF nib which really SINGS, a Parker Parkette Zephyr and a lovely Copper Esterbrook J with 9556 nib.

On the way...another green Parker 45 that I got for a good price and a Pelikan 200 that was back to Chartpak for a little TLC.

And now I just have to stop for awhile...

This week has been huge for me.

Pilot Volex (I <3 Volex!!!)

Waterman's Hundred Year Pen with a semi-flex nib that I cannot possibly comprehend how to use...fun to doodle with, though!

Golden Pearl Vac Major with the clearest barrel I've ever seen!

Thompson flattop junior-sized with a Warranted No. 8...finally!

Remington double-ended thing

Richard Binder XXXF VP nib unit!

Striped Senior Duofold

India Black 51 Vac

Azure Blue Vac Sub-Debutante (I think...not sure)

Got lucky on a couple of eBay auctions, a package from Sweden, a birthday gift, and a couple back from the Spokane Pen Spa.:)

Friday, I got several packages in the mail.

The Marlen Journal has flecks of darker resin and gold glitter, which is subtler than it sounds, but a nice visual surprise while still being low-key.

The Dot Com is, well, as loud as it looks, but it's quite pretty, too.

The I Castoni series originally came in yellow (shown), red, and blue, and they're all quite intense colors.

Unfortunately, someone left red ink in the I Castoni and it stained the resin. I disassembled the pen and cleaned it, but no luck yet.

As always, my photos can be seen on Flickr.

I've been trying to find a Targa on ebay at a price that I liked and instead found a new / old stock one at the Arkansas pen show for $80! This is gold electroplate with medium inlayed nib.

I came home today to find that my Moore L-92 had been delivered (much thanks, Leigh). I was so excited that I only did a quick rinse before filling. It's lovely, and a beautiful writer.

my long awaited nakaya cigar.. (ok 8 weeks is not too long but it sure almost killed me!)

it's in matt black with 2-toned flexi super extra fine nib, with stone texture grip.

Understated but gorgeous!

Lamy Persona in matte black, all the way from the Phillipines to Michigan.

Very happy with the pen, which is very happy with Private Reserve DC Pen Show Blue.

Not a pen, exactly, but a Montegrappa OM nib that I slid into my Delta Moresi. It's my first oblique, and it's completely changed the writing experience for me. Best,

I got a new blue Lamy Safari with a fine nib from Paradise Pen. I'm just waiting for some Lamy cartridges to arrive so I can test drive it.

It arrived in the post yesterday: my Glenmont in orange ebonite by Brian Gray. This is one imposing pen and I pulled out all the stops going with a black ebonite section and medium gold Bock nib. The workmanship is flawless and the pen writes like a dream. Too bad, but good for me, that Brian had only enough orange ebonite to make three of these lovelies; all three were sold before Brian officially launched the Glenmont.

I've been lurking for a couple weeks now and finally decided to post...

After years of having wanted a good fountain pen I finally bit the bullet and ordered one from isellpens.com last week. It just came today along with a bottle of Noodler's Ottoman Azure. I got a Taccia Staccato in Starry Night flavour...it's lovely.

I haven't played with it much yet, however, as I need something to write, but I did find out that ink just seems to gush out of the nib which does not play well with my writing style. Where with a ballpoint pen I get no line or a very fine one—as I move from letter to letter in my (bleep) cursive/print scrawl—I get a full line with the fountain pen which makes my writing even more illegible, ha!

Eventually I want to get a pen with a flexible nib as I would love to learn Spencerian.

Today's post brought me my much awaited Omas Ogiva Guilloche, black with GFT and medium nib. This is a very good looking pen; smart yet understated. After writing a page with it I have to say it feels very good in my hand and the nib is excellent, but then I've always liked the way John Mottishaw sets up the nibs on the pens I've bought from him.
