Got a Hero 329 and a Pilot 78G from ISellpens today - as well as some new inks. Playing with both pens right now.

I finally got the last pen I need so that I can write my reference page on the Sheaffer Craftsman:

I got a couple of nice ones today after work. My vintage pen dealer called me up and said he'd been asked to sell the collection of a long-time customer who had died recently. He is taking them to the Chicago pen show this weekend and wanted to give me first crack at them before he leaves tomorrow. (If you are going to be in Chicago, look for Mike Carter, the Fountain Pen Recycler, and you'll see the treasure trove of pens, along with his usually deep and reasonably priced assortment of vintage pens.) I found a mint (uninked) Pelikan 620 Madrid (the red marbled one) which I have been looking for for a long time, and a dipped but otherwise perfect large sized S.T. DuPont in blue lacquer (I've been wanting another DuPont but can't bring myself to pay $600 for one). There were lots of other nice pens, but I exercised remarkable (for me) restraint and only bought these two. I came this close to buying the medium sized DuPont in black lacquer and a Visconti Van Gogh with the quick release cap.

My Bexley FPN LE arrived this afternoon and it's very nice. Good looking, excellent fit & finish, writes well out of the box - after a water flush. Filled with Omas Blue and writing smooth with it's fine nib. Very good day.

I received my clear Pelikan demonstrator from Fahrney's Pens - and promptly replaced the steel F nib with a Binder gold 0.6 stub nib. My first stub and I'm loving it. Noodler's Walnut is gorgeous with it.

I just wanted to start a poll showing the new pens people get every day!

Have Fun!

Today I received, in the mail, a Waterman Paris Silverplated Pen, M nib, from WorldofPensandMore eBay seller (not affiliated). It is pretty, shiny, and came with a converter. I have not yet inked it, as I have been working on a project for my wife, cataloging recipes for a weightloss website for which she does some work. It's a pay site, so I won't mention the name unless somebody pms me, but it has helped her lose 75 lbs in the past year, and I lost 40 between October and the end of January, 20 lbs of which was from January 2 to January 30. If the nib is as good as my Phileas, I will be ecstatic, as the pen cost me $13.99 including shipping. I will do a review once I flush it and ink it and live with it a week or two.

I got this WASP Addipoint:

But I probably won't add it to my collection; I just needed it for photography, to add an Addipoint entry to the glossary -- which, as a result thereof, stands at 620 entries.

My gift-pens arrived Friday and today. I've already given the pair of Waterman Charlestons (thanks again for the good advice which led to that), but now I have a bunch of Parker Frontiers cluttering up the place. :)

My gold Sheaffer Targa arrived today. This is it:

I was mildly surprised to find that it wasn't a piston converter, but an "aerometric" converter. Needless to say, as this was my first aero, I spend a little while playing with it. :)
