Fed Ex just delivered and I just filled my new Aurora 88, black resin with gold trim, fine nib. I love how the cursive font of the word "Aurora" correlates with the curvy lines on the nib. And it is smoooth on the paper too. My thanks to Doug Add and others who pointed me in the direction of the 88.

Arrived yesterday actually, a Burgundy Vac with a very smooth writing oblique nib courtesy of eckiethump (but 'won' on ebay), nice clarity and a pen I will probably use often.

Also whilst not a pen, a fine nib for my M800 courtesy of Ronin, whilst I have mainly used a medium on this pen (plus more recently an EF) this nib better suits the size of my writing, so will probably a 'permanent' fixture on this pen.

The nicest FP I've bought to date. A Pilot Custom 823, M nib, Clear Demonstrator. Now, if my Swisher order would ever get here, I can see how cool it looks for the ink to be drawn into the barrel. I hear the nib is aweome. I will post a review soon.

Well,... I just got my Waterman Hemisphere back from repair today. That's kinda new since I had to send it off a week after I got it! Happy to have it back. I also got a Waterman Expert II that I bought from a fellow FPN'r in the mail today. Black gloss laquer in gold tone. Love it. I was very impressed with the beauty, elegance, quality, and good balance, as well as being a smooth writer.

That will hold me for a while, ..... let's see, what can I buy next week? :hmm1:

Just ordered a Parker 45 fine nib and stainless steel Frontier medium nib today. I've been impressed with Parker quality in the ball pens and roller balls that I own, so I'm pretty certain that I'll be happy with these as well.

Today a black chased hard rubber crescent-filler Conklin 40 arrived with wonderful very fine and flexible nib. If only my handwriting would do it justice, but I'm trying.

I got three pens from the FPN marketplace. All humble pens, but cool nevertheless. One of them is sporting PR Sherwood Green right now.

It was a great day around here! The mail lady brought a $27 Danitrio Trio Classic and a Cross Townsend Medalist. I took inventory today and I now have 31 fountain pens. 24 of them are inked. I've got to get a sensible rotation system! But I love 'em all!

Almost won a Parker Vaccumatic grey pearl off ebay. :bonk:

I'd rather spend my money on pens instead of shoes and handbags.

Bought a Lamy Vista this evening at Paradise Pen. It's a great pen for the price and something I can bring to class. It writes great too!

I received my Krone Think in Northern Lights today from theinkflow.com. It's a dark purple with some areas of dark green, and a little bit of irridescence.

So far seems like a great pen. I've read that Think pens can be a bit 'loud', but this one is actually quite conservative. Both the purple and green are so dark that on quick glance you can probably mistake it for black or charcoal. I actually wish it was a bit more flashy since I tend to like that type of design.

Worst thing about it was that it came with a small plunger-type converter. Didn't seem of the highest quality materials, and it had a very small ink capacity. I didn't really understand it since this is not a particularly small pen. I pulled out my small parts bin, and had a Sheaffer converter that came with my Legacy to use in lieu of the Touchdown converter. It has a bigger ink tank, is the prefered screw-type plunger design, and is made of considerably nicer materials (looks like metal and glass in addition to plastic). With just a bit of work with my Dremel, it now fits like a dream . . . I just ground off about 1/16" from the end of the plunger stem, which does not impact the performance at all. Now I'm really satisfied!

The pen writes just as I like it . . . a nice wet Medium line. I've got it filled with PR Purple Mojo.

Oh . . . and the box is a weird shape and HUGE. Not at all like any other box I've seen . . . 10 1/2" long and only 2" wide. Looks like a case for a conductor's baton or something (if you'd store your baton in a lime green box!)

Danitrio Densho raw ebonite with stub nib - very nice!

No, I haven't found a secret stash of them! It's not a duplicate. My pen went away for a nib swap.
