Two beautiful PILOT demonstrator's...

Aren't they two Crystal Blu like those that I purchased some time ago and depicted in post #1193 (page 80 of this loooong thread)? A little too toothy for my tastes...

Over the weekend I received my Ebonite Danitrio Densho with an fine flexy nib. I've been trying to get my hands on one of these pens for some time (as well as a lot of other people). It's such a wonderful pen, though the nib does not suit my style so that will have to be changed.

Waiting on a red-black ebonite Herald from Pencraft (Brian Gray). Can't wait!

Another vintage MB here... if mid 1980's counts as vintage:

a nice slimline, took about an hour to clean all the dried up ink out of the nib/feed... I honestly couldn't tell if the nib was an original MB nib when I opened the package... so much dried ink, I couldn't even tell if it was 14k, 18k or steel... after a bit of work I uncovered a very smooth 14k fine nib that lays a very smooth, medium-wet line (between my Lamy and a Pelikan that lays a seriously dry line) with just enough tooth to keep my handwriting under control... i'm not sold on the "slim"ness of the pen yet, I tend to prefer a thicker pen, but for the price its growing on me.

Ciao,

Mine are white, but I think they are from the same eBayer... The one which I kept for myself writes nice, the other one I've handed over...

Actually, got it yesterday when I got home from work. A Dani Trio Classic in Pearlescent White. It is beautiful, and writes beautifully. Thank you winedoc! Now I am faced with a dilemna. I really like fine nibs, rather than medium. I have 3 Danitrios, all medium. They all write beautifully. Which to grind to fine? Or grind all three? How about two and keep one signature pen? Which one to keep as a signature pen? I do have a Pilot 78G medium which I use for a signature pen. Help!

:clap1: Got a Sailor Professional Gear B nib gold trim today - I was very pleased to see the postman! I have only tried Jentle ink in it so far. I have written quite a lot and I'm not sure the inkflow hasn't dried up a little. Will it improve? Do I need to wash it with soapy water?

Tonight I got back from work and I found two Marlens waiting for me outside my door.

It's not only about the pens, this was my first "FPN Marketplace" purchase and I am really happy because of the shopping experience... everything is feeling so personal that I will stop buying pens on ebay (ok, small lie!). Like passing things between friends!

Thank to FPN member for selling those two Marlens to me, I love this community!

Cheers,

Today I got four pens (incredible deals) from Regina Martin. Three are brushed steel, as I've been curious about brushed steel pens (do you fantasize about the Lamy 2000 Edition, too?).

-- One pen is a Waterman, with a pseudo-inlaid nib and cool angled features, more like what you'd expect from Lamy. neat. I don't know the name of this model.

-- Another is a Pelikan Silvexa. Also neat, slim and it shines nicely, and has an ink window (but it's a C/C!), with that Parker-75-type angled nib (what's it called, a "hawk's beak"?), seems very un-Pelikan (I think of their pens as big awkward plastic).

-- The third is a Lamy 26P. The fun part is that it's an oblique broad (all the others are F). I've never used an oblique, nor a broad, so this is a new experience for me. It's the first one I've inked (had to rinse all the pens badly!!), and I have to say that I like it (the edged nib), though it's difficult to write small.

-- The fourth pen is not brushed steel; a faceted chrome Waterman with a hooded nib. Cute and small and I'll probably mess it up before I get to take pictures. I also don't know the name of this model.

I should probably review all these but I'm quite busy these days, with graduate school.

Got a new plastic section for my Parker 75 from Parker75.com. It is a a Medium nib and a very, very smooth writer, eve though a little wet. Today, I also got a beautiful Sailor Sapporo Black/Rhodium with fine nib. It writes just as smoothly as I thought it would, and Fine it is! So far I have only tried it with the Blue Jentle ink cartdrige that came and I must say that it meets my expectations. A very fine line, not too wet not too dry, just perfect, and above all, smoooooth! Thanks Pam Braun, for a great shopping experience.

Ooh! I got a Sheaffer's Flat-Top set in Black and Pearl today! The set is in great shape. Looks like it will make a great writer.
