Got a Chinese Cloisoinne of th Emperor F cartridge pen from eBay seller win world jp. Second purchase from then. Very nice pen, doesn't post, probably will not review it because I intend to resell it, since I got such a good price on it, and don't want to even dip it, so I can sell it as NIB.

I got my Stipula Saturno today from Susanna:

It's my first ebonite pen (of many, I'm sure) and my first crescent filler. It's also my first Stipula, though I've also got an Omas in the Italian pen department.

Nettuno Barracuda. Simply awesome. The way the nib lines up with the square body means the nib is at the perfect angle for writing comfortably. I am in love. But now I have a problem... do I use my snazzy new Barracuda that I'm taking back to Michigan with me, or my beautiful Krone that lives in California away from the dorm life.... oh, dear. I hadn't thought of it that way.

End of line.

After the major selloff some months ago...I FINALLY GET TO POST HERE!!!! I was able to acquire (through a great trade with Ryan Roossinck) one of the major pens on my list: A Sheaffer PFM! Greaan and good, it needs a bit of work, but it's a fun project. The pic below was borrowed from rosspens.com.

Not a pen I received today, or even this week, but Oxonian gave me some information on sac sizes for Mabie Todd Swans that finally let me ink up and use my 2060 leverless properly, it now not only fills properly, but it no longer drips ink off the nib. Why a change in sac size would stop an ink leak I haven’t a clue, but stopped it, it did.

Thanks John. It feels like I just got a new pen.

Not new pens, exactly, but I just got back two pens from Greg Minuskin. A while ago, I had Greg retip the nib on an OMAS 360 and grind it to a lovely stub. I sold the pen off to buy another pen and bought it back when it was put up for sale on PT, but the shape of the 360 made using the stub problematic for me. So, I asked Greg to swap the stub into my Paragon and to put the Paragon's M into the 360. I got them back today, and needless to say, I'm a very happy camper. Best,

David

PS Isn't it time this thread became a sticky?

My most recent acquisition is nominally a junker, but it's a delightful pen. It's a WWII-period DU-PONT syringe filler, and it's one of very few such bottom-feeder pens I've encountered that could be restored. The nib was shot, so what's in it now is a Pelikan M200 nib with the plating partially removed to mimic the design on the dead nib.

Who was DU-PONT? I dunno, but they made pretty pens. :)

I finally got myself a Sheaffer PFM, the III in black and gold, medium-fine SMOOTH nib, very little wear, restored and writing perfectly, it came in the mail today so it was perfectly timed for both the holiday and my birthday. Diane paid for most of it as a gift.

Price was very reasonable, shipping was only $4 and like the Pelikan 800 that I bought from Mr. Propas, it came packed into a length of hard plastic water pipe and both pen and pipe were well padded. The seller certainly did himself well in my eyes. Just another excellent eBay seller.

Cheap day today: I went to Bob Slate's in Harvard Sq and bought a Parker Reflex for less than $8

It goes well with my yesterday's purchase: Pelikan Pelikano jr

and some J. Herbin ink.
