Two Pilot Crystal NOS from the 80s...

Only for 5$ each!

Fine nib. Aero fill. 5 1/4 closed. Excellent quality for the money!

Were those a pendemonium buy?

No, I purchased them from thaigoodwill. Overall, a very good seller.

Cheers,

Ah, friends, after a near death struggle with a merchant, my Pelikan M800 in green (and a Hero for a friend) finally arrived yesterday. What a beautiful instrument. The nib is huge, and the pen itself has a nice large size to it, but it's lighter than I thought it would be. I inked it up with MB sepia, and it laid down a beautiful line from the first touch of the paper. Very excited to put this guy to work today

Many, my friend is back from California with a whole load.

Including the Sapporo?

The Sapporo is here (along with a considerable quantity of PR and FPN ink, Apica journals, Rhodia pad covers and other goodies).

Santa can do another IANAN bypass this year, I'm well sorted!

Huge thanks to all concerned who shipped to CA for me...

Edited to add that I now have another trip to the Customs Clearance Shed at Bristol on Monday and another opportunity to hand over money (this time in excess of $570) for other stuff that has arrived.

Cancel the mince pies!

Grrr!! Rhodia Pad Covers!!

Clairefontaine sent me a list of their product suppliers in the UK and if they bother to answer an enquiry not one of them seems to sell the notebook covers. I have been told of a French site that sells them but my French is so weak that I had to contact them in English. They too have ignored me!

Today is a race with the postal service. Leaving for 5 days on Monday I would like my new Sailor to accompany me.

If it doesn't arrive today it will be lonely for a few days.

Glad to hear you have it finally, and sounds like you have taken in quite a haul recently--congratulations!

Just picked up the Lamy Safari. I run a one man show of an online store. That includes everything from signing packing slips, counting inventory, and answering phones. I am a newby to the fountain pen world and have been using the Kaweko pen. I love the size but the twist off cap lags behind the action sometimes. Switching between the two this afternoon,I can instantly notice the differeance. The Kaweko is a sweet pen with a firm nib (compared to the Lamy). I bought the Lamy because I can pop off the cap and go. The Kaweko will reside in my pocket for the rest of the evening.

I just bought a Platinum 3776 from Jim Sanders, aka Pooh Corner Pens, at this month's Seattle Pen Club meeting this afternoon. Black, with a Japanese EF nib in 14K gold. It's always a pleasure to do business with Jim!

I've just sent an e-mail to a company in Belgium, I'll see if they reply (my language skills are basic but workable). If not then I'll give you dibs on one of mine before the academic staff get their mitts on them...

That would be excellent.

Gave myself an Omas Imagination as I entered the last semester of grad school. When I graduate, there may be a Pelikan Caelum in my future. If I can find an Omas Galileo, I'll be a complete penster.

Yesterday I bought two: a NIB Sheaffer Legacy in red lacquer and gold-finished cap, and a Montegrappa Extra 1930 in Black Bamboo and sterling silver. Both pens write superbly (the Sheaffer Legacys are my favorite pens) but the Montegrappa is as wonderful a writer as it looks!

Last week I got a nice vintage Pelikan 400 tortoise. It cost me 2 days of soaking and cleanig until the nib unscrewed and the piston worked again. Lots of dried ink froze the piston and the nib.

Lucky me, this time I was patient enough to let the water do the job (had another one some weeks ago that is definitely gone - but there had been no hope anyway).

After some days of use even the ink flow of the nib improved and after some careful polishing I have a wonderful pen. It's my favourite right now :-)

I am awaiting two more vintage 400. They are green - one with an OF nib and one with MK. Can't wait for the MK nib.

I just got a Aurora 88 full-size Nikargenta...the pen was very cold from sitting on the FedEx truck, so I'm letting it acclimatize for a while before I fill it up and try it out.

However, I have to say...this pen is gorgeous....

Yellow Lamy Safari, great memories of a gift my dad brought back from the US some time ago, and also fun to try out EF nib as everything else I have is a medium. Also indulged in some loverly inks that arrived at the same time. Should have bought more Safari's
