What Pen Did You Get Today?

George

A MB 149 :yikes:

My pen checks and cracks... my strat's nitrocellulose finish checks and cracks. Could that mean that the fancy precious resin is the same stuff that Fender uses to cover their guitars?

Today I received a Cross, gold and black stripe, Signature Fountain pen with an XF nib. I really looks great with my Signature .5 pencil. This might turn into my everyday carrying set. :eureka:

Picked up on clearance sales: Parker Latitude Rollerball, Parker Latitude ball point and Cross Vapor ball point: all at about 70% off. This is always so much more fun (and doable) at lower prices.

Bought 2 8 1/2 x 11 leather dayrunner organizers for $17.00 ea that normally run at $99.99 each. Sold both of them and paid a good chunk of the cost of the pens I bought on sale.

I like (almost) free.

It's been forever since I could post on this topic. It's not a FP but it still makes me happy! I got a Rotring 600 lava finish BP to go with my FP thanks to a nice FPNer in the market place! I do have a wonderful fountain pen in the mail. My Christmas present from my wife (she just doesn't know it yet  )

The USPS web site shows that the package from Kevin/winedoc, with the following three pens:

- Danitrio Cumlaude (smaller size in brown ) w/ an 18K F nib

- Danitrio Cumlaude (smaller size in blue-grey) w/ an 18K F nib, and

- Danitrio Tamenuri Hanryo w/ an 18K F nib

has arrived! The only problem is I'm at the office...

Anyway, big thanks to Kevin!

(In the past week)

* My second Pilot Pluminix - now I have one for home, one for the office. They are just so cute, the italic nib belies its £3.99 cost.

* 3 more Cross Solos - two fine, one medium. Just love those Namiki nibs (same as on the Pilot Lucina)

* Waterman Gentleman in brown lacquer, 18K fine nib. This was sitting in my next door neighbour's hall for a week while I was convinced it must have been misdelivered or lost by the courier. Took a bit of soaking and cleaning, but its writing wonderfully now.

Just received my "Exceptional" by Pick Pen. It's oversized and truly is exceptional. It arrived home in Atlanta after a long vacation at Penopoly where Roger Cromwell put it in really good shape. I loaded it with PR Purple Mojo and it took such a big gulp, I could actually see the ink level go down in the bottle. It's one BIG Daddy and writes great. :)

Omas Milord Old Style (2004) in gray!! Some day I hope to have that Arco Brown Celluloid James P. got a couple of days ago!!

Opus, how do you like the Omas Milord old-style? I have one on order, but don't expect to receive it until the week after next; one of the drawbacks of living in the "colonies" I guess.

Well, I *almost* received my Aurora Fuoco, but it appears the wrong zip code was accidentally put on the box, so the seller was surprised to find it in her mail again  It's back into the mail to me, and I can't wait! Meanwhile, I had several lovely "pen-ish" gifts arrive in the mail this week: a bottle of Noodlers Burgundy and a lovely pen case, both birthday gifts from friends who know I love fountain pens.

Now I'm not-so-patiently awaiting the Aurora Fuoco (my birthday gift to myself)...already have my ink picked out (Levenger Cardinal).
