I bought a Parker 51 Aero a couple of weeks ago, and it arrived today. I LOVE this pen!!!

Does your Parker 51 Aero look like this one?..If not, then how about one of these? 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 .

 

Although you've most likely already seen it (but on the odd chance you haven't), there's a page on Richard Binder's website dedicated exclusively to the Aero 51.

I just got a new Nettuno Barracuda. It's a strange looking pen, a rectilinear box shape made of clear Lucite. The cap and body each have four magnets to hold the the cap on, and there is absolutely no way to post it. The clip is on a corner rather than on one of the faces. It looks very uncomfortable to hold but it turns out not to be; the section is just the right length for my hand and the square cross section of the body higher up doesn't bother me.

*jaw drops* that is an amazing looking pen... i want it now. :puddle:

 

on a more thread-related note, i now have a pelikan pelikano, the new-ish pink one... :cloud9: , and an hero wooden pen, and another chinese pen thats good a cool looking pattern on the outside. looks a bit small for my taste, but i haven't inked the last to yet to use them and know how they write. cant wait. the pelikan, though, is smooth writing, and i really cant wait to put a converter and my diamine flamingo pink in it. i'm being sufficiently resourceful and using the enclosed cartridge first. but when i get the pink in it... :D

I'm a little low on liquid funds right now, but was wanting to try out a Lamy Safari. For some reason, the white one was speaking to me, and Todd at isellpens.com had those in stock for a nice price. I wasn't going to be buying any other pens, so I was wanting to try to save a little on shipping. Todd agreed to ship this pen to me via USPS mail (instead of his usual carrier, which is no doubt easier for him). He shipped it Friday the 12th, and it arrived today along with the converter.

 

A little Noodler's Purple Wampum, and I am off to the races with this baby. It's got a fine nib, and it writes pretty smoothly. I am loving it.

P.S. Of course, I have no affiliation with isellpens.com. I just think they're cool.

I am currently in posession of some cartridge refilling kits (aka syringes). Why refill cartridges?

1) save money by not buying more cartridges

2) save money by not buying converters

3) cartridges hold more ink! (than converters)

4) use whichever inks you like

And actually it was last week.

And it was really getting it back from Greg Minuskin following some nib training.

 

The pen came from Pens Plus, a very pleasant and professional experience. The factory stub suffered from 'baby-bottom' syndrome, so off to Greg it went. It returned from California perfectly well behaved, a lush, smooth stub.

 

The pen is unlike any other in appearance. The celluloid is also used in the Titanic. The blue is flat and bright. The brown flecks are marbled with great depth and variation. It's like an optical illusion: sometimes the blue is on top of the brown, and sometimes the opposite.

 

It's a double reservoir system, which I'm still getting the hang of. The nib is broad and smooth. The pen writes well posted or unposted, as it is substantial feeling. A stunning pen, and holds its own with its Italian celluloid cousins.

Ohto Tasche! And, wow I'm impressed. Truly pocket sized, features a nicer nib than I would have imagined it would have and pretty sturdy feeling. Of course, it does only feature space for one short cart, but that's the compromise made for the incredible size of the pen. It is smooth with a Private Reserve ink cart in it, an ink that I generally find to be "creamy."

Yesterday my 0.6mm stub nib unit for my VP arrived from Mr. Binder's workshop in New Hampshire. I haven't inked it yet, but I'm sure it is going to be fantastic.

Hello All,

 

My most recent acquisition this past week has been this Waterman Man 100 Opera with a two-tone, 18kt medium nib and chaised pattern. A very hefty pen, as long and heavy as a Waterman Carene. The cap snaps on the nib end and on the barrel end, so no scuff marks. I believe the trim is 23.5kt gold plated. Probably the best looking pen in my small group.

Today I received a Waterman Phileas in marbled blue with a medium nib. Used it in work all afternoon, lovely and smooth.

Two ebay purchases turned up today a black Duofold BP with GT and a Blue Duofold FP (looked like a marbled blue in the rather poor photo, but turned out to be the what I think is called 'crushed velvet', which was nice as I already have the marbled one).

 

Both in great condition and at good prices.

 

Really must stop buying blue Duofolds as this is now my fifth (having said that really like the new True Blue LE, but stil too expensive).

The burgundy 51 is an all-time favorite of mine, as well...You certainly display some incredibly good taste, Sir!
